A coyote hunts at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Forty-five minutes of jumping, sniffing and prowling. Fantastic.
An evening at the shoreline in Denmark after a couple of days with heavy rain.

Looking up into the cloudless night time sky gives one an almost mystical sense of awe and wonder. I like the quotation:
"A universe of inconceivable magnitude and boundless mystery."
Juliet chastises Romeo by saying:
"O, swear not by the moon, th' inconstant moon,. That monthly changes in her circle orb,. Lest that thy love prove likewise variable."
HOWEVER, there really is nothing more constant than the moon. You can literally set your calendar by it. That is rather the point of the 'blue moon', which occurs when there is a second full moon in a calendar month. NOT rare, not unusual, and even you and I could calculate the next one using nothing more than a free giveaway calendar.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I found it impossible to get a good shot of this blue moon using any automatic settings on the camera. Had to shoot with all settings made manually. This was as close as I could get with a 400mm telezoom. I tried to use the 1.4x TC, but the results were just the SLIGHTEST BIT softer.

Looking over to the front right corner now, where we see a new “Beverages” sign – one I don’t believe we’ve seen from this décor before. (Well, I suppose I should say “I” instead of “we,” seeing as how I’ve only shown y’all one F&L store so far! Don’t worry though, more will be coming to my photostream in the future…) This beverages sign is appropriately placed above a large open-faced cooler stocked with a bunch of different, well, beverages, but you may recall that this corner once led into an in-store café seating area. That was closed in and converted to a staging area for Kroger Pickup – née ClickList – approximately sometime last summer or so.

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
Boundless the leaves roused by spring,
Countless the twigs which tremble in the dawn.
Wether the willow can love or not,
Never a time when it does not dance.
Blown fluff hides white butterflies,
Drooping bands disclose the yellow oriole.
The beauty which shakes a kingdom must reach through all the body;
Who comes only to view the Willow's eyebrows?

One last view across the checkouts, toward floral. If you zoom in really closely, you can see two wires dangling in front of the decorative-column-corrugation-thingy-that-I-still-don't-know-what-to-call: those remain hanging from the "public restrooms" sign, which we removed using wire cutters.

As the sun disappeared beyond the horizon, its light filled the sky. I saw this in the rearview mirror and backtracked to capture its transformation.

A Boundless Moment
He halted in the wind, and - what was that
Far in the maples, pale, but not a ghost?
He stood there bringing March against his thought,
And yet too ready to believe the most.
"Oh that's the Paradise-in-bloom," I said;
And truly it was fair enough for flowers
Had we but in us to assume in March
Such a white luxuriance of May for ours.
We stood a moment so in a strange world,
Myself as one his own pretense deceives;
And then I said the truth (and we moved on).
A young beech clinging to its last year's leaves.

“i am convinced that the love of God is as boundless as the seas, were they to overflow into the expanses of all of creation’s boundaries. were the water to rush like waves, were we the innumerable grains of sand carried in it’s storm towards the timelessness held in a sovereign hand. eternity would be the first to sing that it was not enough and it would spill forth into another in an effort to contain such a love.
i am convinced that the grace of God is as incomprehensible as the space that the seas of love would spill into as they pour forth and cover all my shame. should all eternity be swayed. were we the innumerable stars in the sky, swept away into a righteousness clearly seen by redeeming eyes. eternity would be the first to sing that it was out of place were it to be supposed that it should be sufficient to contain such a grace.
and i am convinced that the joy of God is as insurmountable as the heights of which the oceans of love and grace are subject to spill over into life. were all of hell to bear it’s swords, were we the innumerable elect led into war behind a white horse. a King who defeated sin and death. eternity would be the first to sing, that it could not employ a volume or song sufficient enough to describe such a joy.”
