The echos of the ticking clock rang within the walls of her mind endlessly. It drove her mad. She cried out in frustration, but no one could here her. For hours she had wandered lost and confused. Her heart raced at the thought of what could happen to her – or what was happening.
Was it only yesterday she danced among the sun-kissed fields of summer? She could hardly remember the warmth of the light when all that lay ahead was a cold darkness. She had been lured into the forest on that sunny day; she had felt a whisper of her name that only grew stronger as she closed the distance to the edge of the woods. She wandered in, and immediately noticed the silence that lay before her. Once more the cool whisper graced her skin before she felt herself pulled back and engulfed in darkness.
She was brought back from her memories by the insistent song of the clock. She had awoken this way – bound and alone. The only sound was that of a ticking clock. She felt the chains digging into her skin and the clock that weighed them down further. She bolted up, twisted and turned, doing everything in attempt to free herself, but she found the more she struggled, the louder her ears rung with the ticking of the clock.
She had been bound by a time she had no control or knowledge of. She felt her knees giveaway as hopelessness consumed her.

Taken at the meetup I went to about a month ago. (Time flies way too fast!!) The model is Gillian who is so sweet and creates amazing work! I am so grateful to her for modeling - it was so cold and snowy that day and that dress was definitely not warm.
Check out a recent blog post by my friend Robert who hosted this amazing meetup! There you can find some fun pictures and even an image he created with me in it!
BNSF 7214 and 4105 get closer and closer to the top of the small hill at Highgrove, as they pull a long train bound for West Basin out of the bottom of the Santa Ana River. With the ATSF era Searchlight Signals scattered around the San Bernardino subdivision is still a nice little gem on the Southern Transcon.
Standard cab EMD SD70 No. 2578, is currently sitting in a storage line awaiting the SD70ACC program to kick back up. Here she is the last time I saw her, back in September, leading mixed freight train 39Q across the Susquehanna River and into Harrisburg in absolute junk weather.
And while I do have a few other shots of the 2578, knowing their retirement was immanent, I shot them as often as I could. Who knows, perhaps additional power will be needed and some of these veterans will be back on the road before being rebuilt. The only constant is change.
Part two in a series of bondage images.
Part two is that numbing clarity felt when there is only yourself and your bindings and the voice that commands you even though you may or may not be able to see its source.

Taken during the boat ride in China, a live fishing demonstration.
The bird attempts to swallow the fish it just caught but it will not happen. Its neck has been bounded tight and the fisherman will easily remove the fish from its mouth pretty soon after he has got the bird under control.
South Shore Freight 2005 and former Louisville & Indiana 2010, both GP38-2s, run through the east side of Michigan City, Indiana, en route to Carroll Avenue Shops after switching the industries along Amtrak's Michigan Line on the northeast side of town.
Small train for Craig. The weekly local along the Craig branch rolls north with a few hoppers, just approaching a busy Steamboat Springs.

Reposting this picture, which I deleted by accident a few days ago.
It is one of my few images that made it to Explore and actually fared rather well, which makes this incident all the more frustrating!
The tide was low on this particular day, and it had been raining all morning long, leaving way to beautiful clouds and colors during the golden hour.
I took this picture of my friend Patricia while she was roaming around the salty shore of the lake.
The Larnaca salt lake turns completely dry by mid-summer due to the lack of rain and hot temperatures. The lake then turns into an impressive white and wide salty surface.
An old spiral-bound notebook for #MacroMondays #Spiral
Taken around 1.5x magnification and cropped, notebook is about 10 mm thick.
Another personal image I created over the weekend. Photoshop crashed on me while saving the first time, but I felt the message was important enough for me to recreate it and share.
I don't usually elaborate on my photos but here it goes...
Secrets can make us feel as if we are physically burdened...and holding on to them can hurt just as much as revealing them. Not to say all truths should be in the open, but concealing some things from others, or even yourself, can be a slow-acting poison that eats us away from the inside.
Most people keep secrets because we think we'll be judged by it. The only way to come to terms with who you are is to present yourself to others the way you really are. Letting your secrets out allows you to finally forgive yourself and let the past go. Sometimes it takes a lot of courage, but your own self-acceptance is worth it.
Something I've been reflecting on for awhile. I'm not going to let secrets define my relationships, my self image or my life. Being honest with yourself is an act of self love, and it's time to start loving myself again.
And special thanks to Triston Lane for tying me up and assisting me with this photo. <3
