HERE IS ANOTHER UPDATE ON THIS IMAGE. READ MY NEW COMMENT DOWN AT BOTTOM OF COMMENTS.
This new version looks more like a place Fagin would live.
1998 Action Man Camera Mission, 110 internal camera. Genuine Action Man 200 ISO film, expired 1/2001. 12 exposure cassette. This image is the only one out of roll one taken by the previous owner in England. The colour print film appears to be like Agfa 200 but it is not marked, other than made in the EEC. I don't know why the sky is good but the building is odd. I pulled the image back to b&w with none of its original colour.

Miners Falls
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
Michigan
Miners Falls is a spellbinding natural treasure, tucked away in the awe-inspiring Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This 40-foot cascade, where the Miners River plunges over a rugged limestone ledge.

My favourite beach, and it was covered in purple seaweed...... man! I had to tone down the saturation as the colour was so strong.
The bottom of Multnomah Falls. Technically, this was taken before sunrise so it is a little dark but I think still pretty.
Tuesday the boat was hauled out of the water for a bottom inspection. It passed
all the tests! Now we have to go to the bank!
A dry summer and the little lake
(or is it a large pond?)
recedes to reveal beneath its calm reflection
the true nature of its depths
It is an ugly picture of the abuse by people.
It is sad.

Our Daily Challenge 10-18 August: Flat
I accidentally left this pan on some low heat for rather a long time: it didn't destroy the pan but left it with these fantastic colours!
"The Bog" on Lummi Island. If we have a long freeze on the island some of us will grab our skates, Irish coffee, and laugh our asses off while spread eagle on the ice.

Garlic bulb from the bottom up - a first attempt at using a white background and mirror!
As a novice photographer, I'm drawing great inspiration from others on Flickr and the Macro Mondays Group. Thanks guys for the favs / comments. HMM
The falls are quite beautiful, and it's a treacherous climb down to the bottom if you feel so inclined. I'm sure it's beautiful from the bottom down there, but after Iceland I may be ruined on waterfalls for some time to come.
Close by there is a great place for hotsprings, and bathing. Also close by Crater lake. A must stop by spot if you're in there area as it's a quick jaunt, and quite lovely. Although the trail might be slightly challenging for older or less able folk.
"Also known as Coast Guard Craft 1132!"
USCGC Benjamin Bottoms (WPC-1132) is the 32nd Sentinel-class cutter built for the United States Coast Guard. She is the fourth of four Fast Response Cutters homeported in San Pedro, California.
Benjamin Bottoms is named after Benjamin A. Bottoms, who died in November 1942 while attempting to rescue the crew of a crashed USAAF bomber. He was assigned on a Grumman J2F-4 Duck floatplane as the radioman, and after receiving a radio message that a B-17 crashed, and accompanied pilot John A. Pritchard to search for the downed plane.
The pilot spotted the crashed bomber, and landed it as close to the wreck as possible. They were able to assist two of the injured crew back to their plane and back to the USCGC Northland. On their second trip, the plane encountered bad weather, causing the plane to crash, killing both men.
She's a real sharp looking lady who's very spic and span, and certainly looks squared away.

Rainbow lorikeets having an afternoon feed of watermelon in a suburban front yard. Just for once I took the camera on our afternoon walk as we were hoping to capture a tree load of Corellas that we saw the other day. Of course, they went AWOL. But luckily there were a few other things to see and photograph.

American white pelican is maneuvering this good sized shad, so that it'll slip down its amazingly adaptable gullet.
This shot is testimony to the high-ISO capability of my Sony a9 and the noise reduction capability of DxO's PRIME noise reduction software. PRIME does a pixel-by-pixel analysis to minimize noise without sacrificing detail.

Biscuit standing in the bed of what should be some kind of water, a dam, or lake, or creek or something?
Can't remember - and I just checked - the last time I saw water in this spot, but this is the first time I've actually walked the length of it (only about a hundred metres).
