This is the road that leads to Botany Bay. Botany Bay consits of two plantations, the Sea Cloud and the Bleak Hall Plantations. Botany Bay was used for the filming of Mel Gibson's "The Patriot".

Botany Bay has really changed in the last 6 months... fewer trees in the surf and no conch shells. It is still beautiful, just different.

Saw palmetto is a short palm that is used in alternative medicine. Its fruit extracts are used as a treatment for prostrate enlargement, baldness and genital issues.
