Looking into the platforms of Boston North Station, MBTA commuter services are crossing the (still operational) lifting bridge over the Charles River on a hazy afternoon (the result of smoke from forest fires in Quebec, Canada). Copley Square is a public square in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, bounded by Boylston Street, Clarendon Street, St. James Avenue, and Dartmouth Street. The square is named for painter John Singleton Copley. Prior to 1883 it was known as Art Square due to its many cultural institutions, some of which remain today.

The Boston Public Library is a municipal public library system in Boston, Massachusetts, founded in 1848. The Boston Public Library is also Massachusetts' Library for the Commonwealth (formerly library of last recourse), meaning all adult residents of the state are entitled to borrowing and research privileges, and the library receives state funding. Threatened by a large asteroid the ship turns up the bass and blasts it out of the way saving the ship.
It has been a while since I last did a rendering of the Boston Starship so I dusted off the files and got to work. The final image was 6000 x 3000 pixels so it is suitable for large prints and is right weighted so it will work with a CD or LP print in the even the band wants to use it.
On this morning, just before sunrise, there was hardly a cloud in the sky but by the time the sun was up there was almost solid cloud cover.

Chinatown, Boston (Cantonese: 唐人街; Jyutping: Tong4jan4gaai1) is a neighborhood located in downtown Boston, Massachusetts, United States. It is the only surviving historic ethnic Chinese enclave in New England since the demise of the Chinatowns in Providence, Rhode Island and Portland, Maine after the 1950s. Because of the high population of Asians and Asian Americans living in this area of Boston, there is an abundance of Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants located in Chinatown. It is one of the most densely populated residential areas in Boston and serves as the largest center of its East Asian and Southeast Asian cultural life.
Chinatown borders the Boston Common, Downtown Crossing, the Washington Street Theatre District, Bay Village, the South End, and the Southeast Expressway/Massachusetts Turnpike. Boston's Chinatown is one of the largest Chinatowns outside of New York City.
