A couple of days ago I posted a picture of some guys unloading a shrimp boat. It was a quite a frenzied scene. In the middle of the chaos the boss came out of his office to take a look around. Here he is looking particularly intent. Hope he wasn't contemplating firing someone.

chris and i were working for al at a typesetting/photo shop when he became ill, and eventually died. it's a bizarre recollection because of one incident. another co-worker took me to see al in the hospital during the final stage of his illness. we stood over him and talked to him for a good five minutes before we realized we had the wrong room.

Here's another shot from my recent flight around the Cape Peninsula... showing the remains of the Boss 400 shipwreck in the lower right corner... the Sentinel peak and Hout Bay behind that... Chapman's Peak behind that... with Long Beach in the upper right-hand corner.
The Boss 400 was a crane barge that was stranded while being towed in July 1994. The captain of the tug towing the barge had radioed for assistance as he had realised his boat could not cope with the rough conditions. However the tugs sent to assist did not arrive in time. The line attaching the Boss 400 to her tug snapped, and the boat drifted on the rocks at Maori Bay. The 14 crew on board were airlifted to safety. There was an attempt to salvage the boat, but it was considered too damaged to be worthwhile.

Boss (he is more than 17 yrs old) on the way to the upper field.
He likes the snow too. It was taken one hour ago (about 11 am).
My neighbor's 1970 Mustang Boss 302. This car is absolutely like it came out of the factory and has won 3rd place in National competition! This car was built in October 1969 in Dearborn, MI. For more information check out the following.

When I saw it, I could not believe my eyes. This posture has something of "who is here the boss". It lacks only the couch. The muscular upper arms contribute to the effect. It looks very funny. What do you think?
