There's a time for love and a time for living.
You take a chance and face the wind.
An open road and a road that's hidden
A brand new life around the bend.
There were times when I lost a dream or two.
Found the trail, and at the end was you.
There's a path you take and a path not taken
The choice is up to you my friend.
Nights are long but you might awaken
To a brand new life,
Brand new life,
Brand new life around the bend.
Boss (23 years old) under the black cherry.
He is very weak.
Happy Furry Thursday!

When the white pelicans descend on our riparian preserve they kind of let the other birds know who's boss. And its not the cormorants.
right before sunset we found a pride of 18 lions at the edge of the western sector of the Serengeti.
This is the largest of the 2 big males that rule this pride and there were also quite a number of young cubs in this pride.
This is a different pride than the previous lion posts of the western corridor. As mentioned with these posts we saw that other pride with 18 lions 4 or 5 times but there was never an adult male present.

Boss (about 21 yrs) is the oldest of my male cats.
Although he is very active, begins to have behavioural changes like going out in the evening and stay still on the wood oven chimney or going away in the woods eve though it's cold.
He is speedy and difficult to catch.
He must be under monitoring before the sunset because during the day his behaviour is normal.
Have a wonderful Wednesday ♥
When this hawk arrives in the yard everyone else hides! Out of frame there is a squirrel frozen in place and in plain sight! I was terrified to move for fear that it would make the squirrel move. Felt like an eternity, probably because I was holding my breath but I did not want to be responsible for the demise of the squirrel. This hawk has become a frequent guest this winter and it has been amazing to watch. I believe it's a red tailed hawk but I could be wrong!
Yeah, this is a pretty simple shot, but I couldn't resist when I saw the lady in red walk toward this ad. I've always had a sweet spot for red on black! ;)

This one is for Gypsy from her favorite place for Snowy Egrets...I arrived early in the morning and there was just one...so I walked about a bit..then a Great Egret flew in, then another Snowy and another..until there were six Snowy Egrets...Each time a new one landed, the Boss had to go chase them around for awhile..Very entertaining! It was also one of those mornings where they weren't concerned about how close I got to them.
