I'm an avid fan of Lenny Bruce. The man truly understood the power of words. That is why when redesigning How to Talk Dirty and Influence People, I chose to create a type portrait of Lenny made of some of his famous quotes and quotes about him.
One of several cæsura, inserted during shifts in the narrative. Each one used a different photograph from the original drugstore pack, a contour drawing of one of the farm buidings, and an excerpt from the notes scrawled on the reverse of the photographs.
On the occasion of the Building ligatures book release celebrating our 15 years as the TypeTogether type foundry, we look back on relationships we’ve made and look forward to even greater things together.
