'I'm Not Doing That': VP Kamala Harris REFUSES To Take Knee With President Biden & Golden State Warriors During Awkward Photo-Op At White House
January 18, 2023
Vice President Kamala Harris made an awkward scene this week as she and President Joe Biden met with the Golden State Warriors to celebrate the team’s NBA championship win, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The uncomfortable incident took place on Tuesday as the Warriors visited the White House to meet with the president and vice president and take pictures.
But shortly before the meet-and-greet concluded, and as the parties gathered to take a few last photos together, the visit took a turn for the worse when President Biden insisted on getting down on one knee in front of the team.
“I'll tell you what,” Biden said as he and Harris struggled to find a good spot for the picture before he proceeded to climb down on one knee.
“I'm not doing that,” Harris quickly responded, leaving President Biden alone in front of the NBA champions.
The visit then became even more awkward when, upon standing up, President Biden pretended to fall forward – causing a number of Warrior players to reach out to grab him.
Earlier during the event, President Biden committed his latest blunder when he mispronounced Vice President Harris’ first name.
“As Kamala said, we're all closely monitoring the storms, the floods, the landslides all across California,” Biden said, pronouncing the vice president’s first name as “CAM-a-la” instead of “COMMA-la.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Tuesday’s incident was far from the first time the president and vice president caused an awkward scene while speaking to guests at the White House.
Earlier this month, while discussing his administration's latest policies to address the border crisis, Biden accidentally referred to his vice president as “President Harris.”
"President Harris led this effort — led this effort to make things better in the countries from which they are leaving," Biden said. "And thanks to her leadership, she's been able to generate more than $3.2 billion from the private sector to create jobs and opportunities in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala."
Shortly after the video went viral, social media users couldn’t help but comment and ridicule the president for his latest slipup.
"She wanted to laugh so bad," one user wrote after seeing the clip.
"He basically telling y'all…If he clocks out at any time, she’s taking on the role of President. Lol," quipped another.

Omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 possibly more likely to infect the vaccinated: officials
New York City health officials are warning residents that the infectious omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 may be more likely to infect people who have already been vaccinated or infected with COVID-19.
“Omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 now accounts for 73% of all sequenced COVID-19 cases in NYC,” the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene tweeted on Friday. ” XBB.1.5 is the most transmissible form of COVID-19 that we know of to date and may be more likely to infect people who have been vaccinated or already had COVID-19.”
The department added that getting vaccinated against the virus, including receiving an updated booster shot, remains the best way to protect against hospitalization and death, including from new variants.
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, XBB.1.5 accounts for 43% of cases in the U.S.
In the first week of January, the subvariant accounted for about 30% of cases.
XBB.1.5, an offshoot of XBB, was first detected in October.

The World Health Organization warned earlier this week that it may lead to an increased number of cases based on genetic characteristics and early growth rate estimates.
Scientists have cautioned that the virus will surely keep evolving.
“Our concern is how transmissible it is,” Maria Van Kerkhove, the WHO’s technical lead on COVID-19, said.
“The more this virus circulates, the more chances it will have to change,” she noted.
Van Kerkhove said there is no data yet to prove that XBB.1.5 causes more severe disease, but that the agency is working on a new risk assessment of the variant that it expects to release soon.

Scenes from the Blizzard of January 2022:
For Cape Cod, it rained almost all night long. Then, just before dawn, it began to snow. For the first part of the day we got heavy wet snow that stuck to everything. By nightfall, as the temperatures dropped and the wind picked up, the snow had become light and fluffy. I watched the pressure drop over 30 mb over a 24 hour period, and with that, the intense wind delivered our predicted power outages. We lost power on Saturday night around 6 pm and got it back on Sunday night around 11pm. In our neighborhood, the storm snow total was about 16 inches.

The morning after the Blizzard of January 2022:
There was a beautiful sunrise and clear skies to follow, making it a nice day for shooting. Temps were still in the teens and the wind was whipping. The power would remain out until just about 1:00 pm today, coming back just in time because the inside house temperature was barley holding above 40 degrees F.
