I saw the original filming model of Boba Fett's famous Slave 1 spaceship in the Star Wars Identities exhibition in Paris, France, last spring. I was blown away by how fantastic the model actually looked like, I mean it's great on the silver screen but it looks so much better in real life.

The Lego Slave 1 UCS captures the shape of the model really well, it's big, heavy and almost intimidating, I like it a lot. I tried to make it look mean and menacing in a photograph, perhaps reaching for some of the evilness of the original.

Yesterday I got from Amazon the DK book "LEGO Star Wars Encyclopedia Updated and Extended" along with the exclusive white Boba Fett minifig. I spent the evening reading the first half of the book, stopping just before the part on the original trilogy.

Overall it's quite interesting and filled me with nostalgia with each picture of an old minifig version with yellow face. However I regret that the pictures always use a white background and thus sometimes look rather plain. Also it seems to me that the lightning could be better. IMO there are people in the toy photography that makes better minifigures' portraits, with more interesting backgrounds (like a big colorful bokeh) and better lightning.

Everyone's favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett joins the Meisho Movie realization series in spectacular feudal Japan aesthetic.

Appropriately portrayed as a lord-less “Ronin” Samurai features an extensive array of accessories that includes a characteristic backpack missile, helmet mounted scope, ninja-style katanas, nunchucks and numerous ninja-style blade accessories.

There's something about Japanese aestethics I have always liked very much, especially typography. I do not know any Japanese, though, and attempting anything like this is a bit risky. Still, with Wikipedia and essential guidance from a friend, I got this far, It should read something close to Boba Fett. If not, please let me know and I'll edit accordingly.

This place is called "A Taste of BOBA" after reading their menu and history I have no idea what BOBA is. It was Asian and very good.

Found another broken body and just couldn't resist to make one more cracked Boba shot :)

Handing over Han Solo to Jabba.

Here's a comparison picture between my mini brick figure and a Lego minifigure. It's more obvious like that, no?

A Boba Fett standalone film has been rumored since Lucasfilm confirmed they would be making spinoff films. But according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film has taken one step closer to being a reality with Logan director set to write and direct the film!

This is incredible news! This is the film that I wanted ever since I heard spinoff films were confirmed, Boba Fett is prime for a full film to explain who he is and actually give him a character. Plus the edition of James Mangold makes it even better. I want a Boba Fett movie with the exact tone and feel as Logan, it's really a match made in heaven for a space western!

It's unknown if this is the next spinoff film to be released, it's rumored that either this film or the rumored Obi-Wan film will be the next Star Wars film released after Episode IX. How do you feel about this news? Let me know in the comments below!
