Whatever you call it, it's my favorite. Taro Boba.

I painted the back of the helmet first. It's a complicated, fiddly part of the job that no-one ever sees, and it gave me a great sense of satisfaction to have it finished!

One of the most iconic characters of the Star Wars franchise, Boba Fett's past was for decades a murky one--which makes sense given the character's roots as a bounty hunter.

Boba Fett originally appeared on the much-maligned Star Wars Holiday Special in 1978, where he betrays Luke Skywalker after saving him. Fett was probably the only thing fans liked about the Holiday Special, and rumors went through the fandom as to who he could be--all Lucasfilm would confirm was that he was a villain. Fans finally found out when Fett showed up in Empire Strikes Back as the bounty hunter hired by Darth Vader and Jabba the Hutt to capture Han Solo--which he does. Despite having less than 15 minutes of screen time, fans fell in love with the mysterious bounty hunter, and even after Fett met a rather ignominous end in Return of the Jedi, fans insisted that he had not actually died in the Sarlacc Pit and was still out there, nursing a grudge against Han Solo.

Over the next 25 years, the Star Wars Expanded Universe went crazy trying to figure out just who Boba Fett was. Marvel Comics held that he was the former commanding officer of an elite Old Republic Mandalorian commando team that "went bad" and became a bounty hunter after betraying his old team. Dark Horse's post-Return of the Jedi comics confirmed fan rumors that Fett used his backpack to escape the Sarlacc, went after Han before he decided that Solo was no longer worth the trouble, and ended up helping Jaina Solo against her Sith brother, Jacen.

Finally, in 2002's Attack of the Clones, Lucasfilm gave Boba Fett a backstory: he was the son of Jango Fett, the man used as the template for the eponymous clones. Boba was actually a clone himself, but left as a child so that Jango could raise him. After watching his father get decapitated fighting Jedi, Boba swore revenge and would eventually become a bounty hunter. In 2014, Lucasfilm declared that virtually all the Star Wars EU books and comics were no longer canon, which eliminated Fett's Mandalorian origins and his post-ROTJ survival. However, there's still a lot of backstory to be told about young Boba Fett, and Disney, the new owner of the Star Wars franchise, plans at least one movie about him. Fett's story is far from over, it seems.

Boba Fett's look was actually inspired by Ralph McQuarrie's earlier, almost samurai versions of Darth Vader. Originally, his armor was all white, but this was changed and made more battered to differentiate him from Imperial Stormtroopers. His character was redefined to resemble something like Lee Van Cleef's Angeleyes character from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly--complete with jangling spurs. Whatever his origins, Boba Fett remains one of the most popular antiheroes in film history.

This cosplayer at ACen 2009 did an exceptional job. He was stalking the panels that year, and I made sure to get his picture before heading off to mine. I didn't check if his backpack had jets, but this is definitely Boba the Fett.

Damn camera, missed him!

I've decided to post this photo separately of STB and Boba Fett's recent mission per Darth Vader to search for a new plant for the Emperor's Botanical Gardens. Here they are relaxing after a hard day's work.

Unfortunately, when STB sent his submissions to Darth Vader once the mission was completed, he accidentally sent this photo, too.

Late run to the food truck lot! Almond green milk tea with mini boba and two straws "in case the small one doesn't do it". I got a large, so once back at Ben and Lora's, she and I dunked our Joe-Joe's into it. It was amazing.

Once upon a time there was a Star Wars fan....his favourite character was Boba Fett.

Knowing this his girlfriend asked her good friend Leaanna of "plushgoodness" to make him a plush Boba Fett.

She did an amazing job and the fan had lots of photographic fun introducing him to his new home.

I would ask these people what they think, but I think most people r not capable of giving a useful review. Everyone in nyc is caught up in apple mania -so everyone can only just "i love my iphone!' yeah right-AT&T customer service SUCKS! So I expect some prob to be experienced with either AT&T or apple-considering this is not only a first generation product but their first time in the mobile phone market. Secondly, the data speed on this phone is slow and like kenyatta said, no software updates can make it faster cuz it's on at&t's end.
