With the close of Star Wars Weekends for 2012 today, here's a shot of another character that is featured. As I've mentioned previously with my Jango Fett post, the backdrops for the characters are really good. If you catch them in good light, you can get some really fun portraits. In fact, I think that was the best part of the event for me!
Boba Fett was a Mandalorian warrior and bounty hunter. He was a clone of the famed Jango Fett, created in 32 BBY as the first of many Fett replicas designed to become part of the Grand Army of the Republic, and was raised as Jango's son. Jango taught Boba much, training him to become as skilled bounty hunter as his father-figure was before him. In 22 BBY, Jango was killed at the Battle of Geonosis, which opened the Clone Wars. Just a boy, Boba was forced to grow up and took to traveling the galaxy. Later, he became a bounty hunter and took assignments from beings such as Jabba the Hutt, and achieved notoriety despite his young age.

These were awesome boba smoothies. They had like these squishy ball in them. Yeah. And not to mention hot lids.
I made some milk tea boba. I never really liked the tapioca balls, but these were home-made and they taste delish.

I was experimenting with some old macro rings on an old lens. I fired a camera-mounted speedlight, bouncing camera left, with a slave flash positioned camera left, about 90 degrees from the subject.
This figure is pretty small. It's not super macro or anything, but from boot to helmet, he's about three inches tall.
While our family was in Santa Barbara, California, we visited the shopping area on Paseo Nuevo. I saw this brick building covered with ivy and went into the 805 Boba shop inside. 805 Boba has a variety of bubble teas.

I went for a hybrid look on this, barrel is the brown ROTJ version whereas the rest of the blaster and the stock are pure ESB. I also highlighted the sockets in the stock.

Painted model kit with a custom made base to stand on.
By far the best model kit I’ve built. Painted most details and added battle damage, also added a real cloth piece. I’ve shaped the base to resemble a rocky place somewhere on Tatooine.
