We were in Rome to receive my parents-in-law who had walked all the way to Rome from Denmark. Nok in one long stretch, but over a period of 12 years. We received them at Piazza di Poppolo, because that meant something special to them. Pilgrims go to Rome, but usually they go to the Vatican, and then they would end up right up there on the square infront of Sct. Peters Basilica.

A pinch and a punch for the first of the month!
Something a little Christmassy...London's southbank with the mighty Paul in the background and random dude walking past on the right.
Saw this and thought of Jon. Ceiling was too big to fit in the wide-angle lense.

Back in 2018, it was my 1st time visiting the beautiful town of Baler and I got to capture this special view.
This life is but a garden bed,
the rain it comes and goes,
but you can prick yourself on all the thorns,
or you can learnt to love the rose.

[...] Moyers:
In love, joy and sorrow pain.
Campbell:
Yes. Love is the focal point of life, and since all suffering is woebegone , so also the love. The stronger the love, the greater the pain.
Moyers: But love endures all.
Campbell: Love is pain itself, you might say - the pain of being truly alive. [...]

[…] Moyers:
In der Liebe liegen Freude und Schmerz.
Campbell:
Ja.

It was really too late in the day to handhold the camera for this scene. However, the auto ISO setting gave it some chance for success as I tried to catch this casual stroller, who seemed out of place among the skaters.

First attempt at low light glass photography. Fun trial and error process getting the light source and the glass in the right position! All from the 'comfort' of my windowless bathroom!
