What is nature and what is nurture? I know what's nature. Aidan saw us rake our lawn's leaves into piles and proceeded to run and jump into each one of them. No one taught him or told him to do that.

He just knew.

I'm slowly starting to piece together some potential pieces for an upcoming exhibition. I am focusing on empty space and bland, cross-processed, and unsaturated post processing techniques. You will see a my stream fill up with more shots like these over the next few months.

It took a while to photodocument, but I believe I have finally tracked down the mysterious drool stains on our couch.

It's very rare now that I can get a decent picture of the boy. He's constantly in motion. That makes pictures very difficult, both because I end up with a bunch of blurry streaks on my camera and because it's so much fun to run around with him.

Here, a screen stopped him, although he didn't stay stopped for long.

Every year, our office has a Christmas party, and it's always been a family affair. Each year, there's more and more kids. A few years ago, they started bringing in a caricature artist. In past years, the drawings have been pretty rough and sketchy, but this year, the guy was actually really good. The pictures of all the kids were really cute and really caught the right attributes of each kid's face, and there wasn't any mocking tone in the drawings as there have been in year's past.

I'm amazed he was able to do this given how much Aidan squirmed. Sure, he looks like he's sitting all nice and refined there, but it was a hellish ten minutes.

Since this is Aidan's first mobile Christmas, we got a full-size Christmas tree for the first time since we moved in together. It's nothing fancy, but Aidan enjoys all the ornaments. The less dangerous ones are low, and the breakable ones are up high. So far, he's pulled off some balls and some bells, but usually he just sits there staring at all the lights.
