Also called Boogie Woogie Aphids due to waving their wooly abdomen when disturbed.

The aphid produces from its abdomen profuse wax fibers that give it a woolly appearance. If you tap the branch they are one they will wave the wool and appear to dance, probably to ward off enemies.

Not too far from you Dennis, sorry I didn't have time to contact you. This was near Prairie Moon Native Plant Nursery where we had The Prairie Enthusiast annual picnic and bimonthly board meeting. It was a 7 1/2 hour roundtrip and you know I stretched it to well over 8 hours by taking the long way home.

Doncaster was blighted by the 1960's abject destruction of many buildings with diverse architectural styles and replacement by bland, unimaginative designs of the time. This plant opened in the 30's and closed in the mid 1970's. The residents in the area sued the company due to smell/noise from the plant. The citizens lost the suit, but the company moved to another location anyway, abandoning this one. Motors were made here for the automotive and aviation industry. Chrysler now uses some of the old facility grounds to park newly made vehicles waiting to be shipped out

An abandoned barn I shoot now has some new friends nearby. Sad...

More creepiness from Lewisville, AR

Disused storefront. Could be on the main street of any small town in the U.S. The advent of large chain retailers drove many small businesses into extinction. This one happens to be in Lawn, Texas.

There remain areas of Over The Rhine that have not been gentrified. Even the remains of a pay phone on the right. Cincinnati.
