This photograph was taken at a housing estate that is in the process of being pulled down in the name of 'regeneration'. A lot of the estate had already been pulled down, most that were left standing were empty but a few were still people's homes. They had refused to give in to the unfair deal that the local council were proposing. Walking around the estate, there was a real sense of despair. Residents had gone as far as to deface their own properties hoping that just one person would listen to them.
I took a lot of photos, but this one really stood out to me. These people had chosen their homes, some had lived in them all of their lives. And now some one was deciding to throw them out because they decided they didn't like the brick walls they had to look at.
