A bit of a failed experiment here. We walked so far to get to the waterfall, but facing a hairy descent, Jules and Antonio decided to turn back. That was a good decision, as the going got very, very hairy thereafter. By the time I'd clambered to the falls, it was actually a bit disappointing, and I'd really scared myself with some of the journey on my own with no phone signal. As such,, I tried my hardest to get a composition and do it justice, so this is a stitch of 32, yes 32, images to try to get a shot worthy of the adventure I'd inadvertently set myself. It'll do I guess...

I've been tagged :) This edit failed a little bit... Oh well. PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN GLEE WEEK!

check it outt.

Song for today: Gives you hell, Glee Cast. Watch the real video to understand where this picture came from :)

TEN random facts:

1. For {dramadancer1} ♥: I use Photo Studio 5.5, which came with a Canon scanner. It's essentially Elements.

2. I have the manliest arms on a 17 year old girl you've ever seen. Unless you're a gymnast, too.

3. When I edit my pictures and change color balance, I almost always drive up the yellow balance a lot. I think it looks prettier :)

4. I love mascara. Whenever I use it, I apply a TON.

5. I've never broken a bone, but I have had surgery due to muscle tear.

6. History is my worst subject. I'm not too interested in it and I'm horrible at memorizing. D:

7. I used to text and talk like a maniac, but now I feel like I spend all my time either taking pictures or studying.

8. I'm really good at video games for some reason, but I don't like them (minus Rockband/Band Hero)

9. My mom recently showed me her camera from before - a film camera, obviously - a Pentax K2. I'm really bummed that film isn't sold for it anymore, because otherwise I'd be using it 24/7.

10. I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE LADY GAGA GLEE TONIGHT (:

Bit by bit we are at last getting a snow melt!

These are bits from a tiny screwdriver set used for working on electronics. That makes this photo a macro, as well.

in Berkeley, where there mostly is very little. This is the edge of a private club where they have planted special trees in keeping with a lovely environment. It borders the street, so we can all benefit!!

Bit of abstract sand tide detail from Charmouth 2 weeks back. I liked how it looked like a little beach forest

The old bank vaults are possibly my favourite bit. Full 10BW set here.

New small series! These are *not* prints, they are the actual Impossible image, signed on the back. $20 w/ free US shipping ($3 for international shipping). These look super classy matted and/or framed & I can do that for a small additional cost.

A favourite spot on the local canal. Feeling a bit wintery now.

9/30/2017.

A bit 'twiggy' but I like the pose and fall colors. This view shows the field marks well, notably the white under tail coverts. In Tennessees the undertail , even if not white, will always be lighter than the rest of the underside. The face shows the eye-line and lighter supercilium (stripe above eye), and the beak is noticeably sharp. In all fall plumages for this species, in contrast to in the Spring, the primary feathers (longest wing feathers) show white tips.

2 more species to post for the 37 eastern warbler sweep for 2017, a feat that I probably won't ever accomplish in one year again.

A bit south of Carmel-By-The-Sea along the California coast is a tiny valley covered in lily flowers in late winter and early spring. We went there for sunset. A small creek flows into the Pacific Ocean, forming ever changing tiny valleys and hills with ripples. I froze the action with a very short exposure time.

I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Old fence along the Withlacoochee State Trail, Citrus County, Fl

Did some long overdue birdwatching over the weekend, so will be "taking a break" from the arboretum pics before resuming again.

Spotted this male Northern Cardinal at the "Blazing Hot Blend" feeder - pepper treated seeds to deter the squirrels and seems to work, too. Mr Cardinal is looking a bit ragged but not sure if it's due to the stress from parenting or because of the extremely hot weather we've had in our area lately? Or something else completely different?

** Mind you, our hot weather is nothing like some other areas are experiencing but still - hot for our area! And no doubt the heat affects wildlife regardless of where they are located.

Nothing awesome about this wave I just like the moment I caught it.

Disintegrated pieces of Icebergs floating back at the Diamond beach.

A bit of a cliche shot, but hey who cares, I quite like it. Taken on my phone on my evening walk with Honey, it’s a quiet line and I’d already seen the train go by, so was in no danger😂😂😂

As 66704 sits while its train is loaded at Arcow Quarry, 66760 heads south on the S&C with its train from the Quarry.

66704 has worked into the Quarry on 6M31 from Hexthorpe and is having its first part of the train loaded. 66760 is working 6M38, Arcow Quarry to Bredbury, with its loaded train after running to Blea Moor to run round its train.
