The North American Bison often called the Buffalo is a majestic beast native to the American plains and Canada. It can weigh upto 2000 pounds and though they look harmless, can be often dangerous. There are thousands of these at Yellowstone mostly as a result of a govt initiative to protect this species after they became endangered.
