This is the Bionicle part of my birthday gift :-)
Keep the comments clean! No banners, awards or invitaitons, please!
Today is my birthday, and this is my gift. A bit of boudoir photography. Light from the large window in front and a Speedlite from the back triggered remotely.
Wonderful gift my husband gave me on my birthday today. Love these earings and the necklace... The color is also amazing. Most beautiful jewelry that I possess.
After the Christmas knitting was finished I made myself a couple of hats, then moved right on to the birthday knitting. This sparkly wrap is for my niece. I have a few choice words for that sparkly yarn (really it’s more like thread). It was not easy to work with. But I’m glad I kept going with it because I like the end result.
Ok come on- own up guys and gals....all of us own some very naff things. We may loathe our naff things but for whatever reason we feel unable to get rid of them- or we may LOVE our naff things, perhaps even just because they are naff- so lets see your naff things here too :)
This one is a birthday ornament that somebody bought me - ho hum!
Definate tat!
Since I am on the computer processing my photos every day Stu thought it would be good to get me something that would ensure I wouldn't lose my work. This is a Power Surge Protector by Audioquest.
Actually those are gifts from my younger son to the twins for their birthday,
Unfortunately it was during the storm, it is an extended birthday that its still going on:-)
Steven always comes for Thanksgiving from New York for the weekend, it gives him time to decorate the house for Christmas,
No one is allowed to do the tree, been this way since he was a child:-)
Two new additions to my Teddy Bears on my Bed - Birthday gifts. Black one on left side and Grey-black on right side. My collection is increasing. Besides these 4, I have another whole collection of stuffed animals, including bunnies and monkeys. I gave a lot away to my sister's great-grandchildren when they came over to stay with us overnight a couple of years back. Most of mine were also given to me by many of my grandkids but many years ago, one by my mom's, the brown 'hug a teddy' and one by my son, the small white 'Benelton'.
A tight shot of Tyler feigning to read the birthday card he got with the bike. He just wants on his new shiny red wheels.
as posted here in flickr just a time before by my friend Ethel T. M., so now it's reserved for a future use ..
I grew up collecting Hello Kitty. I asked for it on my birthday 2 years back... and my beloved couldn't resist my kitten charms. Don't you think it suits me?
I wonder if these birthday gift cards also exist in other (european) countries of if it is a typical Dutch thing...
My sister-in-law has always been excellent at sewing making her own clothes as a teen. She recently just prior to Covid started a business making hand made handbags (purses), wallets, face masks etc.. I always promoted her unique designs on my facebook page to my friends in the event anyone was looking for a unique handmade gift.
Today, I went to get the mail and there was an “amazon” box but it had her Kat MacKay Designs return label on it. She mentioned she was sending me a birthday gift. To say I was beyond words is an understatement. This lovely handbag, wallet and glasses case were there in the box with a birthday card.
I appreciate each and every visit, comment and fave here on my little corner of the world as seen through my lens
Only the genius, brilliant and beautiful mind of Sugarelf could create the most perfect creature: a Frankenstein´s monster birthday cake!
This is simply the cutest thing in the world. That´s all I can say before I die of love! ♥

ORSON: "Well, I've tied the bow on this one, Paddy. It's full!"
DAISY-MAUD: "And Jago and I have tied up this one too, Paddy. haven't we Jago?"
JAGO: "Yes we have, Daisy-Maud, very nicely!"
DANNY BOY: "Aye begorra! I think this box is pretty full now too. Don't you think so, Algie?"
ALGIE: "I do Danny Boy!"
SCOUT: "Hullo everybear! What are you all doing? What is inside all these pretty birthday boxes, Paddy?"
PADDY: "Why lots of special big little birthday bear hugs and snuffly birthday kisses of course, Scout! What else?"
SCOUT: "Ooooh!" *Intrigued.* "That's so lovely, Paddy! Is my second birthday today? I have forgotten."
PADDY: "No, Scout! It isn't your birthday today, second or otherwise." *Shakes head.*
SCOUT: "Oh pooh!" *Disappointed.* Then these special big little birthday bear hugs and snuffly birthday kisses aren't for me then?"
PADDY: "I'm afraid not, Scout."
JAGO: "But they are for someone that you love very much, Scout."
ORSON: "And someone that we all love too."
ALGIE: "That's right, Scout!"
SCOUT: "Oh really! Who is it?"
DAISY-MAUD: "Well, today is Mummy June's birthday, Scout."
DANNY-BOY: "So we are sending her all these very pretty birthday boxes full of special big little birthday bear hugs and snuffly birthday kisses from all of us!"
SCOUT: "Ooooh! How exciting!" *Thinks.* "But wait! I haven't put any in for Mummy June from me! I want to put some in!"
PADDY: "Well that is why this box hasn't been tied up with a ribbon yet, Scout. This box is fairly full with Daddy's special birthday kisses and hugs, as his aren't quite as small and neat as ours are. However, there is just room in here for you to add yours."
SCOUT: "Oh goody! Thank you Paddy!" *Adds special big little birthday bear hugs and snuffly birthday kisses for Mummy June to box.*
PADDY: "Very good! Now we can tell Daddy that this boxes are ready to go to Mummy June for her birthday!"
JAGO, DIASY-MAUD, DANNY BOY, ALGIE, ORSON and SCOUT: "Hoorah!" *Jump up and down for joy.*
PADDY: "Daddy! Daddy!"

PADDY, SCOUT, JAGO, DAISY-MAUD, DANNY BOY, ALGIE, ORSON: "Hoorah!" *Clap paws in delight.*

PADDY, SCOUT, JAGO, DAISY-MAUD, DANNY BOY, ALGIE, ORSON and DADDY:

PADDY, SCOUT, JAGO, DAISY-MAUD, DANNY BOY, ALGIE, ORSON and DADDY: *Applaud and jump up and down for joy.*
PADDY: "Happy birthday, dear Mummy June! We are all sending you lots of special big little birthday bear hugs and snuffly birthday kisses on your special day! We hope that you have a wonderful day!"
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
Jago was a gift from a dear friend in England. He is made of English mohair with suede paw pads and glass eyes. He is a gentle bear, kind and patient who carries an air of calm about him. He fits in with everyone else very nicely.
Daisy Maud is Jago's little sister and was made by the same friend in England who made him. She is made of German mohair with floral fabric cotton paw pads that match her pretty sunhat, and glass eyes. A sweet and loving little girl bear, she is happy to be reunited with her big brother, Jago, and enjoys being spoiled by her new Daddy.
Orson, named after the little bear constellation, was made by the same friend who made Jago and Daisy-Maud. He comes ready dressed in 'trousers' made of German mohair accessorised with embroidered braces. His paws are ultra suede and his eyes are glass. He is described as being a little bit serious minded but very friendly. He's fine once he gets to know you.
Danny Boy, made by the same friend who made Jago, Daisy-Maud and Orson, has a touch of the 'Oirish' in him with his emerald green scarf. He has an open mouth as he likes to sing and comes with his own songbook, "Irish Airs for Teddy Bears". He has a wobbly head to give him animation when he's talking to you, and is made of English mohair, has paws of ultra suede and eyes of glass. Quite a happy-go-lucky little character....
Algie is made by the same friend who made Jago, Daisy-Maud, Orson and Danny Boy. He is is made of sparse English mohair, has paws of ultra suede and eyes of glass. A very adventurous little boy, he loves to climb and sit on top of gates, edges of tables and chairs. He adore climbing trees, and will cheekily sit there with crossed legs. He's very friendly and he loves adventures of any kind.
My dear sister-in-law stocks up on shirts from Marshall's or Ross and gifts them when the occasion arises. She hasn't quite nailed my style sense as yet...
I got home from work today just after my birthday present had arrived! There was still a canopy of late sunlight left on the persimmon tree so I tried my luck at a hand held shot with my new 500mm of a Mockingbird enjoying a Thanksgiving treat.
Wishing all my flickr friends a happy, family filled Thanksgiving full of love and cheer!
...as she opens an old can of worms - her most memorable gift of all...

DADDY: "Quickly everyone! We don't want to be late! The taxi to take us to Mummy Marian's birthday will be here soon!"
PADDY: "How wonderful it will be to celebrate with Mummy Marian!"
SCOUT: "Oh how exciting!"
BOGART: "Will there be cake, Paddy?"
PADDY: "Well it is a birthday party, Bogart, so I'm sure there will be."
BOGART: "Oh good! Grumbly tummy Paddy! Grumbly tummy!" *Rubs tummy vigorously.*
SCOUT: "Paddy! Do we have Mummy Marian's birthday card?"
COUSIN PADDINGTON: "Don't worry Scout and I have it!"
FREDDY: "Can we play games with Peter, Oleg, Benny, Fuzzy, Danbo and my best friend Bernus?"
PADDY: "Oh of course we will play games, Freddy! We will have lots of time to eat and drink, play and chat with all our friends, as well as wish Mummy Marian a very happy birthday!"
DUCKIE: "I might get some ideas about a new place to nest whilst I'm there!"
PADDY: "Oh, I hope you'll want to come home, Duckie!"
DUCKIE: "Oh of course I'll be coming home, Paddy! I might not have found the perfect nest here yet, but I will! I will ask Mummy Marian where she laid her eggs."
BOGART: Umm... I don't think Mummy Marian lays eggs, Duckie."
DUCKIE: *Thinks.* "Well, she might know anyway!"
JAGO: "What is inside all these pretty birthday presents for Mummy Marian, Paddy?"
PADDY: "Why lots of big little bear hugs and snuffly kisses of course, Jago! What else?"
DUCKIE: "And loving ducky flaps too!"

PADDY: "Oh! Of course!"
SCOUT: "I will get to see mijn beste vriend Peter!" *Jumps up and down.* "How exciting! And Paddy, you will get to see your beste vriend, Oleg!"
PADDY: "Yes indeed! I am excited about that! We are going to sit together and eat some of Mummy Marian's birthday cake."
SCOUT: "Peter and I are going to play hide-and-seek... oh, and eat some of Mummy Marian's birthday cake too! Grumbly tummy Paddy! Grumbly tummy!" *Rubs tummy vigorously.*
JAGO: "I am hoping that my best friend Benny will have some special tea for us to drink. I am so looking forward to seeing him!"
BOGART: "I am going to share my cake with my best friends Fuzzy and Danbo, and Fuzzy and I are going to teach Danbo how to speak some more English and I am going to learn some of his language."
FOXY: "And I am going to sit with Bernus, my best friend and we will sniff out some exciting adventures."
DADDY: "Now, whilst we await the taxi, let's practice singing Happy Birthday for Mummy Marian, so we will be in good voice when we arrive at the party!"
PADDY, SCOUT, COUSIN PADDINGTON, BOGART, JAGO, FREDDY and DUCKIE: "Yes Daddy!"
DADDY: "Alright! One... two... three!"
PADDY, SCOUT, COUSIN PADDINGTON, BOGART, JAGO, FREDDY, DUCKIE and DADDY: "Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday Mummy Marian!
Happy Birthday to you!"
DADDY: "Very good everyone!"
SCOUT: "Daddy? Daddy!"
DADDY: "Yes Scout?"
SCOUT: "Daddy, Peter taught me a special Dutch birthday song to sing to Mummy Marian. Would you like to hear it?"
PADDY, COUSIN PADDINGTON, BOGART, JAGO, FREDDY, DUCKIE and DADDY: "Oh yes Scout! That would be lovely!"
SCOUT: "Very well. Ahem!" *Clears throat.*
"Lang zal ze leven,
Lang zal ze leven,
Lang zal ze leven,
In de gloria,
In de gloria,
In de gloria,
Hip, hip, hip, hoera!
Hip, hip, hip, hoera!
Hip, hip, hip, hoera!"
PADDY, COUSIN PADDINGTON, BOGART, JAGO, FREDDY, DUCKIE and DADDY: *Clap with delight*
DADDY: "That was beautiful, Scout!"
SCOUT: "Gosh! Thank you Daddy!" *Blushes pink beneath woollen fur.* "I hope Mummy Marian will like my song!"
PADDY: "She will love your birthday song, Scout!"
PADDY, SCOUT, COUSIN PADDINGTON, BOGART, JAGO, FREDDY, DUCKIE and DADDY: "Happy Birthday Mummy Marian!"
My bears Paddy, Scout Bogart and Jago have made very good friends with four bears in Holland called Peter, Oleg, Benny and Fuzzy (www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/galleries/721577154558...) and their Mummy (www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/) . Bogart has also befriended Danbo... well, I’m not quite sure what Danbo is, but Bogart seems to know.
And Freddy has conquered his fear of dogs and befriended Marian's dog Bernus. Today is Mummy Marian's birthday. You can see Benny announcing it in this link: www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/52086497980/in/datepos..., or in the first comment below. We are about to head off to her birthday party. So on behalf of Paddy, Scout, Cousin Paddington, Bogart, Jago, Freddy, Duckie and me:
Happy Birthday (gelukkige verjaardag) dear Marian! We hope that it is wonderful day full of love! With lost and lots of big little bear hugs and snuffly kisses (berenkusjes en knuffels) from all of us!

Jago is a recent addition to my ever-growing family. A gift from a dear friend in England, he is made of English mohair with suede paw pads and glass eyes. He is a gentle bear, kind and patient who carries an air of calm about him. He is already fitting in with everyone else very nicely.
Bogart has travelled all the way from Georgia, via Alabama as a gift to me from a friend. He has lovely Southern manners and seems to be a fun and gentle soul with an inquisitive nature.
Travelling all the way from London, Cousin Paddington was caught in transit thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, so it looks like he is stopping with us for a long while. That makes me happy, as the more I look into his happy, smiling face, the more attached I am becoming to him.
Freddy Fox is made by Merrythought in England. I bought him, of all places, from a men’s accessory shop in Melbourne’s Block Arcade, called Mr. Wares. Freddy Fox is made of English Mohair with felt paws and glass bead eyes. He has so much charm and charisma that already he is winning hearts with anyone whom he meets, and he is kind and sweet, which makes him an ideal member of our family.
Duckie I saw when I was at a Sunday market on a stall of homemade knitted and crocheted items. She caught my eye straight away with her happy, smiley face and bright colours. I think she finds life with my bears intriguing and perhaps a little confusing, however she is learning.

Dedicated to my uncle mskarim who brought me into the world of photography and has always been my source of inspiration.

Peter and Scout are very similar and have become best friends. Oleg and Paddy are also very similar and have done the same. Today is Mummy Marian's birthday. You can see Peter and Oleg getting the presents ready in is link: www.flickr.com/photos/66094586@N06/51190775637/in/photost..., or in the first comment below. Bogart has only arrived in the last few weeks. He has travelled all the way from Georgia, via Alabama as a gift to me from a friend. I look forward to getting to know his character, but I can already say that he has lovely Southern manners and seems to be a fun and gentle soul with an inquisitive nature.
Cabbage is Paddy's Pug Dog. He was a gift to Paddy from a friend who also likes Pugs. He is fiercely loyal to Paddy, Scout, Cousin Paddington and Bogart, but seldom stays around long enough to have his picture taken, as there are always new adventures to sniff out.
Lettuce was a present from my two goddaughters to me to keep Cabbage company. My eldest Goddaughter, Polly, wisely suggested the name Lettuce since we already have Cabbage. She is very soft and sweet natured. She likes cuddles and warm laps a lot and like her older brother Cabbage she likes to sniff out adventures.
Duckie is a recent addition to the family. I saw her when I was at a Sunday market on a stall of homemade knitted and crocheted items. Day 21 of 366
I got a gift card from my friends yesterday. I couldn't wait and of course I went out to samy's today and got the nifty fifty and some other things. I love it and the price. :)
Bonnie says the bear’s name is Ken, but Ken says the bear’s name is Bonnie! How amazing to have Bonnie in our lives! She is one of the most generous people I have ever known! Love her like a sister!
