Yesterday was my birthday. (And yes, I'm even more of an old guy now - a dyslexic 16.) My wife gave me flowers, and my favorite lens came back from being repaired so I had to play around a bit.
Here's wishing my Mom the best day ever on her birthday. Thank you for all you do, your generosity, wisdom & love. Love you so much, forever and a day! Ti voglio tanto bene cara Mamma.

Today is my 42nd birthday and continuing with the theme I started on my 40th birthday I give you another birthday suit SP.
I don't know about you but this year has seemed to fly by. It's been a pretty OK year, but there have been some low points along the way. I lost two very close friends in the last year, both died far too young. I have also had some close friends drift away. I guess thats life and you just need to move forward.

Well, this was my lovely Dad on Sunday, 91 and he is just amazing. More birthday celebrations today, my husbands 70th so big party tonight.
ODC - Great Expectations. Too long a story to explain why I think this is perfect for the topic, but my Dad has had an amazing life and I fell very lucky to still have him around.

Flickr Lounge: Worn or weathered...my son picked these for my birthday this week, and a couple are not getting a little past peak, but are still very pretty.
Yesterday was my Birthday so my mom took me out to lunch. There was this wonderful fountain that made me feel like I was in Roman Holiday. I was so tempted to take off my shoes and run around in it.. but surpressed the urge. :)

It is still my daughter's birthday here in the UK and I did promise her that I would return to Flickr and post a photo before day's end.

After the Christmas knitting was finished I made myself a couple of hats, then moved right on to the birthday knitting. This sparkly wrap is for my niece. I have a few choice words for that sparkly yarn (really it’s more like thread). It was not easy to work with. But I’m glad I kept going with it because I like the end result.
I was asked what I wanted for my birthday and I said Mac n Cheese, so today I was gifted a 12 x 10 tin(made from scratch) of my favorite meal. Yes dear, I followed the baking instructions exactly as you wrote them. Thank you so much for the lovely meal Kenneth! Last week sadness, this week honey bees and comfort food. What more could a guy want!

January 11 2010 was Lola 1 year old birthday celebration... in her effort to celebrate she chewed my new pair of DC shoes! so a new Kennel was her Birthday present!
This was my sisters birthday cake. (or one of them rather, this one was the gluten free one the other had pinkie pie on it!)
We also had friends from out town come and me and M scarred him for life lol.

This is the special cupcake made for the birthday girl. This was part of the batch made that included the blue and pink ones posted above. The icig is buttercream and the colour was an accident...but it turned out perfectly.
This is to say "Thank You" to all my wonderful flickr friends who have either messaged or posted birthday wishes for me today, you are a special bunch of people & made my day into one much better than it would otherwise have been. I'm truly touched by all your kindness & can't thank you enough!

Cat Cat (aka Pickle) enjoys his little tunnel, one of his two Birthday presents, the other being the cat nip filled donkey next to him. He was 4 about a week ago and apparently he was born either in June or July. His previous owner was never quite sure. He also got a couple of little cat cakes with 4 candles in them!
It's my 31st birthday today and about 20 minutes ago I took this picture standing just outside my house in Orkney. It's like natural fireworks! Will I make it to Explore? ;-)
Today was Stu's birthday. I made him a Honey Apple Cake With Walnuts. I made the cake in the Microwave!

Hey everyone ! Look at the WONDERFUL place where I spent my birthday day with the other Erasmus students ! Today we went on an excursion to "Los canales de Padules" from 10 am to 6 pm which is located at around 1 hour from Almeria, and even if I don't feel my feet anymore, even if walking at the sun (yeah it's half December and the weather is just incredible) was pretty exhausting, it was worth it, really ! We were surrounded by amazing high mountains and then waterfalls and rivers, this place was just amazing and I'm so happy that I could have turned 20 there :)
So much more photos are following very soon, anyway I'm so grateful of the past year I had. My 19 years old year was so full of changes and I will never ever forget it, even if I don't like the fact that I'm 20 right now, it seems so weird haha
