Male domestic shorthaired cat (Felis catus) named PurrC on his 3rd birthday. He and sister Ashley enjoyed an afternoon of (supervised) exploration and treats on the patio. He was adopted 5/21/18 from the San Diego Humane Society.
taken from a bouquet for our mutual birthday... my daughter unexpectedly being born a few weeks earlier, on my 27th birthday... she was just ready to make it a very special day...35 years ago already while she 's now halfway her 1st pregnancy herself... so I am looking forward to becoming a grandma in June!
Today we are celebrating the 16th birthday of my very best cat friend. The pirate and I have been through a lot together and he is still going strong. Later in the day the cats will have a party with lots of treats.♥ :)

I made this picture for his first birthday, so I can use it as invitation card. I used a offcamera flash in a softbox 50x50 in a simple setup in the living room.
Today Bailey celebrated his 13th birthday! He's had a rough 2020, just like the rest of us. A bad dog fight ending in two surgeries, and a really bad hot spot resulting in him becoming septic. He is recovering well despite his age, and enjoyed some new birthday toys and treats.

And I thought… don’t we all struggle with that sometimes? Not just on the outside, but deep within.
Sometimes I wonder: where did that little girl or boy go—the one who used to laugh and play so freely?

In de verte is overigens nog de Lange Jaap te zien, de hoogste nog brandende vuurtoren van Nederland.

On September 7 last year - on my birthday - I thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful day at the beach. After lunch and a short walk along the beach, we eventually settled down at a beach bar.
By the way, the Lange Jaap, the tallest active lighthouse in the Netherlands, can be seen in the distance.
