Photos from our fantastic visit to Atelier Playa Mujeres, December 22nd-27th, 2023 (Cancún, Quintana Roo, México). This was our first visit to Cancún and we loved the resort. The nature and birdwatching at the resort is outstanding. Here are pictures of Yucatan Vireos, a bird I do not think I saw before! The resort is located at: Prolongación Bonampak S/N Mz 1 Lote RTH4, SM3, Complejo Playa Mujeres, Zona Continental, 77400 Quintana Roo, México.
Trying to teach our 3yo to birdwatch :). I have mp3s of the bird call on my phone and set the wooden bird (or pictures on the wall). Teach him to listen for the call, look in that direction with his eyes then the "binoculars, " then ID the bird in his book (we are only looking really a t a few birds, so it's not a big book). He is having a blast and wants to do it over and over. I hope it helps when we try it outdoors too.
