I posted a photo of a sculpture that is on display on the waterfront. This is right across from the sculpture. I am happy that the health unit is being proactive and giving people a place to deposit their used needles rather than leaving them all over the ground but this is an area the city is trying to attract tourists and I never see tourists here and I don't feel very at ease here. I am very alert to what is happening in this area. It is a sad commentary on the addictions and homelessness in this city.

Lighting - Charcoal grey background. Gridded Beauty Dish powered by Profoto Pro-7a as the main light . Light was boomed directly over the camera to get the symmetry. 2 medium size strip softboxes behind that were adding rimlight (powered by Profoto compacts). Another profoto compact with a gridded zoom reflector aimed at the background. Strobes triggered with PocketWizards.

Image manipulation from my panorama of Entrance hall of the CHU Liege hospital (panorama made by stitching many photos). Now it looks like the biohazard symbol.
How to do it (I did not invent it)?
1. Take a panorama or a photo with a width much larger than its height
2. Resize it to square without maintaining proportions
3. Flip vertically
4. Apply the polar coordinates plugin/filter of your favorite image manipulation program.
Voilà! (You can then add the border to the image and edit the limit between the two previous left & right borders)
Photomanipulation I did as a special request for my good flickr friend Erik aka What?? You wanted something clever?? Click here to see the sexy original. He asked if I would do a mod of him...and thought a biohazard symbol over his face would look "badass". I actually did not intend to upload this image to flickr, especially since the special biohazard sign I found appears to be someone's unsigned artwork...When I did a search, and found this symbol, I found no name or copyright, but if I am ever asked, I will take it down. I decided to upload this afterall because, not only did I put quite a bit of time into it, I was also quite happy with the way it turned out...and feel it does indeed look "badass"...but I think "freakin' cool" will also suffice! To all the ladies out there that happen across this piece, please go to Erik's page and see his "fugliness" set and tell him that he is anything but fugly...If I tell him he is hot, or sexy, I am but a mere one person and he won't believe me!
