TEDxAwaji Speaker - Elizabeth Masamune PSM GAICD
Elizabeth Masamune is based in Tokyo, has over 25 years’ experience living and working in Asia, and is a fluent Japanese linguist. She is a former Australian trade envoy and diplomat.
She is currently Managing Director of @Asia Associates Japan, a Tokyo-based advisory firm specialising in cross-cultural communication, leadership and development, and diversity.
Elizabeth serves on several Japanese Boards and Steering Committees. She is a Non-Executive Director of The Faith Group Inc., in music and entertainment, and Osaka-based Arakawa Chemical Industries. She serves on the Risk and Compliance Committee of Calbee Inc and participates actively in the Japan Association of Corporate Exectives. Elizabeth is also a director of Advangen Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of ASX-listed biotechnology firm Cellmid.
As part of her commitment to the development of the next generation of global human resources, Elizabeth acts as Senior Executive Advisor to the Pasona Group Inc., and occupies a pivotal role as Senior Managing Director of the Pasona-sponsored Awaji Youth Federation.
She is married to Japanese graphic designer Toshiaki Masamune. She enjoys ikebana, Japanese cuisine and is an ardent cat lover.
正宗エリザベス氏は日本をはじめ、アジアでの生活と仕事に25年以上の経験がある。日本語が堪能な元オーストラリア外交官です。現在、東京を拠点とし、異文化コミュニケーション、次世代リーダー育成、女性活躍推進、多様性を専門とするアドバイザリーファームである株) @Asia Associates Japanの代表取締役を務めている。
パソナグループのシニア・エグゼクティブ・アドバイザーでもあり、社会の問題を解決することをモットに掲げるパソナグループに於いては正宗氏が次世代のグローバル人材の育成に取り組みながら、パソナグループの傘のもとで淡路ユース・フェデレーションの専務理事として重要な役割を担っている。
正宗氏は、いくつかの日本の取締役会および運営委員会の委員を務めている。 TSXに上場している2社、音楽とエンターテインメントのThe Faith Group Inc.、および大阪を拠点とする荒川化学工業の独立社外取締役である。 そのほかにもCalbee Inc.のリスク・コンプライアンス諮問委員会の委員を務め、経済同友会のメンバーとして活動中。又、ASXに上場しているバイオテクノロジー企業Cellmidの日本子会社であるAdvangen Ltd.の社外取締役として日豪間のビジネス知識を活かす役割も果たす。
正宗氏はまた、2015年以来、千葉大学の経営協議委員会に任命され、国際未来教育キャビネット基幹の委員も務めている。 2015年に日本に移住する前、正宗氏はオーストラリア貿易促進庁で25年間の長いキャリアを持ち、日本、インドネシア、ベトナム、韓国など、アジア各地のオーストラリア大使館で首席商務官兼外交官を務めた。 2006年、アジア市場におけるオーストラリアのビジネス進出すを著しく促進したことでオーストラリア連保政府よりパブリック・サービス・メダル（PSM - Public Service Medal ）という勲章を受章した。
正宗氏は日本のグラフィックデザイナー、正宗利章と28年も結婚。 生け花や和食が趣味、熱心な愛猫家である。

The total CervicalCancer prevalence in the 7MM (the US, EU5 (the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France) and Japan) was found to be 43,514 in 2017. The UnitedStates topped the charts for maximum Cervical cancer prevalence with Spain accounting for the least number of cases in the 7MM.
Screening, coupled with HPV vaccination, has the potential to prevent Cervical cancer. Today, screening has become such a refined tool that has helped researchers to understand cancer almost completely.
The key players in the HPV Vaccine market include GSK and Merck.
