The three tallest towers in Cleveland , bathed in the light of a morning sun.
From Left to Right -
'Key Tower' at 948 ft / 290m to the top of the spire, was built in 1991 and is the tallest in Cleveland as well as in Ohio. It was the tallest building between New York and Chicago from 1991 until 2008 with the completion of the Comcast Center in Philadelphia.
It is currently ranked as the '60th Tallest Building in the World' according to the list of the 200 tallest buildings in the world compiled by Emporis.com.
'The Terminal Tower' built in 1930 with a height of 708 ft / 216 meters.
'200 Public Square' the former BP Tower with a height of 658 ft / 198 meters.
I'm always practicing and playing around with light. This is a car that was parked on the street out in front of my house. It's a lame car, I know, but I wanted a shot that didn't look "lit." I think it works pretty well, albeit being somewhat uneventful.

Over the last few weeks the folks here in Detroit and Michigan have taken a great deal of abuse. Pundits and politicians have been lobbing shells at us from all over the country. We have been abused for our $75 unskilled factory workers and our dopey executives who seem as though they'd struggle to run a paper route. Before another shell from the gallery of fools is sent our way consider this:
UAW workers DO NOT get paid $75 per hour. That number is trumped up and bogus, designed to lay the fault of the industry's troubles at the door step of Solidarity House. The gap between the base pay and core benefits (health care) for UAW and non- UAW workers is slim.
The guys running the Big 3 have made many boneheaded moves, no doubt. But when folks simplify the issue and say they fail to make cars that people want to buy, that simply doesn't sit with the facts that many of top selling vehicles remain Big 3 brands. And if you say they were clueless for relying on trucks and SUV's when gas prices rocketed up; explain why the savants at Nissan and Toyota jumped into the truck market with both feet just a couple years ago. Talk about bad timing. Truth is few people saw this economic firestorm coming.
For our friends down South cheering on their politicians when they say the UAW must cut their wages, be aware, you are cheering for the end of your free ride. You see the reason your hourly wages are so close to the UAW is the smarty pants running Toyota, BMW, Honda, et al, needed to keep the pay scale close to prevent the UAW from organizing. If the union is busted and the hourly rate is knocked down to $12 per hour, with limited health benefits, how long until you hear the knock at your door? In NASCAR language, you have been drafting behind the union and now they are about to mash on the breaks. Yikes!
Finally, the folks in Washington, please stop with this illusion of free markets. The U.S. has pretty much always been a mixed economy. If not for the credit mess, created in large part by the quasi- Government agencies offering a wink- wink guarantee on sub- prime mortgages, maybe the Big 3 would have been able to find financing in the private sector.
