MACRO MONDAYS 'Bookmark' theme
My mothers bookmark and her favourite psalm. The bible belonged to my great, great grandfather who was born in 1817 and married in 1842, exactly 100 years before I arrived.
In Christian symbolism, slugs were associated with the devil, hence the remedy, cornflower, became a symbol of the Queen of Heaven, Mary and Christ.

I like this. But I hate it.
I like it because it was amazing to see. I hate it because it reminds me of
a) a cheap motel poster
b) a bible catalog!
Yesterday we had clouds, and while the kids where again running on pipes, this was happening in the sky.
I took 46 photos. I cant get rid of any.

Translating the verse as "Lord's anointed" is actually an interpretation- the literal meaning is Messiah (in Hebrew Mashiach - משיח).
In the biblical Song of Songs 2.1, exegesis has it that Jesus - Christ - refers to himself as a Rose of Sharon. There's been a lot of debate about the precise flower that would be. One of the options is the Hibiscus syriacus. My photo doesn't picture it but rather a Hibiscus chinensis, the Chinese Hibiscus, and a hybrid at that. It's Christmas Day! Enjoy!

Just wanted to say she will be making a big comeback in January 2015.
I found this Bible here and it gave the place a friendly peace. Maybe it should also prevent evil spirits to visit this place.

I believe this building dates back to the 1920’s, and was originally home to Vallejo’s First Presbyterian Church. When that congregation moved to a larger building in 1952 it was purchased by the Vallejo Bible Church.

Bible Rock Trail is considered a hard hike that covers 4.7 mi, with an elevation gain of 1,952 ft. It takes about 3.5–4 hr to complete. Hard trails usually cover longer distances, and may have long or steep climbs or more difficult obstacles.is rock can be seen when passing the Kadugannawa pass.
