1 Peter 1:7 MSG Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.

Taken for MACRO MONDAYS group theme: inheritance
I got it from a Baptist preacher, who came around 20 years ago with his family from the United States to Germany. HIs name was Terry. Lots of people left kind wishes, Bible verses and personal words on the first two pages.
When he and his family moved back home after two years he gave me his Bible. It is a german Bible with a translation from Martin Luther, and it is more than 100 years old.

Messiah in the Gilboa - photo by Oded Israeli 2011
Translating the verse as "Lord's anointed" is actually an interpretation- the literal meaning is Messiah (in Hebrew Mashiach - משיח).

So it towered higher than all the trees of the field; its boughs increased and its branches grew long, spreading because of abundant waters.
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
31:1-9 The falls of others, both into sin and ruin, warn us not to be secure or high-minded. The prophet is to show an instance of one whom the king of Egypt resembled in greatness, the Assyrian, compared to a stately cedar. Those who excel others, make themselves the objects of envy; but the blessings of the heavenly paradise are not liable to such alloy. The utmost security that any creature can give, is but like the shadow of a tree, a scanty and slender protection. But let us flee to God for protection, there we shall be safe. His hand must be owned in the rising of the great men of the earth, and we must not envy them. Though worldly people may seem to have firm prosperity, yet it only seems so.

This week my 52 Week Book Challenge was Street Photography . An early one from the book ( only No.4 ) and it is street photography - well out of my comfort zone and not something I tackle as a rule . Well I went into Leatherhead town centre last Sunday afternoon and once I had strolled up from the car park I could hear music and singing !! Just two shots , one a side view and this one - I was conscious of taking the shot but I think he was too wrapped up in his tune . If you look at the shot large you can see his tee-shirt logo and with the little cylindrical stone beside him there are leaflets to be seen .
Well for a novice I think this will do for my street shot .
Named after an old cattle enclosure that looks like an open bible when the ground dries out in summer. Malling Down, Lewes.
Alright, so Holden (HMD) and I decided to do some Bible figures, because we thought it would be a fun thing to do. He made Rack, Shack, and Benny- uh I mean Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo, and I made Samson, John the Baptist, and a Pharoah figure.
I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts, so please comment :) Stay frosty, bros and broditas!
