Robin and me at the USGS benchmark for Cadillac Mountain, 1,532 feet. You might notice if you look at where I placed this spot on the map that it's a bit off from where most people who drive up Cadillac Mountain wind up. (Yes, there's a road that goes up there. Yes, we took the hard way). That's because the overlook and all the marker stuff isn't at the true summit, but about a football field away. The true summit is completely unmarked, other than by this little mark in one of a million boulders near a radio tower. We only found it because some guy pointed it out to us. Otherwise, we never would have known.
