This is Lulu, an expert in indigenous health. She is Native Hawaiian and during her doctoral studies and since getting her doctorate (I think in public health?) with a focus in indigenous health, she has worked with indigenous communities all around Hawai'i and the lower 48, and now, for the first time, in Alaska (in Dillingham, SW Alaska). Her next goal? Global indigenous health.

Linda of the Alaska Native Justice Center is a beautiful soul who has spent a great chunk of her life doing education and outreach around sexual violence and now is assisting victims with the legal process. She is one of the trainers in a project I am helping with that trains rural first responders (like Behavioral Health Aides and others) around Alaska to screen for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (DV/SA), help victims do initial safety planning, and assist with referrals and support services. Here she is in Dillingham for the third training.
