I didnβt want anyone to think that I had dropped off the edge of the world or gotten sick! Iβll be back with a few stories and some new photos.
Friends, leaving for another vacation to my Himalayas....wish you all keep on well in health and enjoy the amazing life in awesome planet....
The image I leave behind was of afternoon scene on the bank of high altitude lake, Pangong Tso, in Ladakh Himalayas, India
Deep in the night a campfire on the distant shoreline beckons a traveler surrounded in a darkness that is softened by the wonderous glow of the Milky Way high overhead and reflected on the mirror like surface of Lake Irene high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Leaving for Andaman Islands tomorrow morning....remembering its mesmerizing beauty when I visited the islands a couple of years back....taken in North Andaman Island, India
A beautiful, tranquil trail in Washington's Cascade Mountains...an old hiking, iPhone pic I had never tried processing before...

The Atlantic coastline of Portugal is so beautiful - the shimmering tranquility of the sea on this day inspires the imagination with its hypnotic call!
"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." -- Mahatma Gandhi
... while searching for the Snowy owls at Island Beach State Park, New Jersey. Often the journey is the best part of a quest.
βAt first she beckoned and lured one into her world; then, she blurred the passageways, confused all the images, as if to elude detection.β

I wonder what the future has in store for us? I am constantly amazed at the technology that is available presently. My latest toy is something called a mimeo - an interactive white board. It's an amazing tool. Check it out! www.mimio.dymo.com/en-US/Products/MimioClassroom-Family-o...
Have a great week, my friends.
The Myth
And now the sumac leaf,
bright, sun-reddened, beckons me
to breach the hill's reverie.
Little flame in my hand,
I come down without reprimand.
Still, I'm still the thief.

A dark alley, lit up only by a single sign. The gently flickering, milky white light showing off the frame of a strange woman, beckoning...
The time has been that these wild solitudes,
Yet beautiful as wild, were trod by me
Oftener than now; and when the ills of life
Had chafed my spirit -- when the unsteady pulse
Beat with strange flutterings -- I would wander forth
And seek the woods. The sunshine on my path
Was to me a friend. The swelling hills,
The quiet dells retiring far between,
With gentle invitation to explore
Their windings, were a calm society
That talked with me and soothed me.

I think Iβve solved our winter energy crisis!
When the lights get turned off between 4 and 7 on those dark winter nights you just need to turn on a few fairy lights!
Problem solved!
I would suggest that there is a double benefit in that when they stop working, you could just sautΓ© then in a little butter and thatβs supper sorted too, however these bonnets are not toxic but have no nutritional value, a bit like a cream cracker in that respect.
So far Iβve collected about 150 and arranged them strategically around the house and guess what happened when I turned all the lights offβ¦β¦.β¦..yes, **** all!
The drawing board beckons, or was it the corkscrew?

"And you, how old are you?
I asked the maple tree:
While opening one hand,
- he started blushing."

Come a little bit closer...

Every horizon, upon being reached, reveals another beckoning in the distance. Always, I am on the threshold :-)

I went to a concert in Charlotte North Carolina and we passed this abandoned building with this no trespassing sign on it, someone had sprayed painted all over it except the part that said trespass, I thought it was perfect and had to get it inside my camera , then I had some fun with photoshop making it into something different all together, something that would beckon you to trespass 6/30/15
After getting a few shots on Dartmoor recently I could feel the lure of the local seaside locations again.
Though the lighting was rubbish on Monday evening a trip to Trebarwith Strand seemed in order due to its fascinating rock formations and lively sea action.
Horace was in his element as there is a well known pink car which is often parked near the seafront in its own bay, he noticed a couple of builders rebuilding a stone wall where it is normally parked.
Horace spoke to the builders and said what has happened here, they responded donβt ask as they were laughing into their cement mixer.
Thank you so much for viewing my photos, the comments and banter are much appreciated, have a nice weekend.
