In the late evening, already past the Blue Hour, the outline of this Container ship could be seen against a brilliant sunset sky.

This farmhouse, built in 1888, is one of the oldest houses in Langley.

The Abbotsford Airshow was a thriller again this year. Lots of photos in my inbox waiting to be edited. :D

If you're into aerial photography, here are 3 minutes of my best shots from last year's show:

Alberni by Kengo Kuma is a distinctive 43-storey residential high-rise in Vancouver, Canada, marking the first large-scale residential project in North America by the renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Developed by Westbank and Peterson Group, the building stands out for its unconventional design, featuring two prominent "scoops" or recesses at the base and a notable use of woodwork and Japanese-inspired design elements. Its form is intended to relate to Vancouver's natural surroundings, including the mountains and waterfront. Morning has broken like the first morning

Blackbird has spoken like the first bird

Praise for the singing, praise for the morning

Praise for them springing fresh from the Word

Sweet the rains new fall, sunlit from Heaven

Like the first dewfall on the first grass

Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden

Sprung in completeness where His feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning

Born of the one light, Eden saw play

Praise with elation, praise every morning

God's recreation of the new day

Morning has broken like the first morning

Blackbird has spoken like the first bird

Praise for the singing, praise for the morning

Praise for them springing fresh from the Word

Wells Gray Provincial Park is a large wilderness park located in east-central British Columbia, Canada. The park protects most of the southern, and highest, regions of the Cariboo Mountains and covers 5,250 square kilometres.

Helmcken Falls is a 141 m waterfall on the Murtle River within Wells Gray Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada. The protection of Helmcken Falls was one of the reasons for the creation of Wells Gray Provincial Park in 1939.

Unimaginable, breathtaking view. The sound of the crashing water was loud, yet very soothing.

To me, it appeared heart shaped, and the eroded stone bowl, combined with the water spray looked like a baby in a womb.

Patches of compact snow remained at the base of the first drop.

Thank-you for all the overwhelming support and many friendships.

I don't usually post so late in the evening, but tonights post was too much cuteness not to share. I spent 2 1/2 hrs this afternoon with this little Barred Owlet, and its mom. The other siblings chose to stay high in the trees and out of view. This one was pretty high up too, had to find a break in between the branches of the limb it was perched on to find a fairly clear view.

The iconic Lions Gate Bridge, in Vancouver, BC, was built in depression era 1938 by the Guinness family (of beer fame), who had invested in property on the north side, and who saw a massive increase in the value of their land once people could actually get there.

A sailor I know once told me that, among the greatest feelings of returning home from sea, was the heart swell he got when passing under the Lions Gate Bridge. I felt a similar excitement as I headed out on a recent adventure, when I captured this image.

Husband: Hey honey should we take the bear spray?

Me: Nah I have never seen a bear here before....

This handsome bear stood up, looked at us, and left (only had a few seconds to click a few shots) lesson learned!

I simply had to brave the weather bomb the eastern coast of Vancouver Island experienced a couple of days ago.. that wind was Fierce and left this photographer with salt on her face!!!

No man is an island,

Entire of itself,

Every man is a piece of the continent,

A part of the main.

If a clod be washed away by the sea,

Europe is the less.

As well as if a promontory were.

As well as if a manor of thy friend's

Or of thine own were:

Any man's death diminishes me,

Because I am involved in mankind,

And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;

It tolls for thee.
