Baynanza is a celebration of Biscayne Bay and its significance as one of the most important ecological systems in South Florida. Traditionally celebrated throughout March and April, Baynanza culminates with the Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day, where thousands of volunteers join together to help clean up our bay’s shoreline. Since Baynanza's beginning in 1982, volunteers have helped remove over one million pounds of trash from Biscayne Bay.

Kayak and Beach Cleanup at Surfrider Beach and Malibu Lagoon, Malibu, on Earth Day. Representatives from REI led a kayak cleanup and offered kayaking tips to brave volunteers, while Heal the Bay led the landlubbers in a beach and lagoon cleanup. 135 volunteers joined us to collect trash and celebrate Earth Day. 4-22-2012

Canary Green organized a beach clean-up in Callao Salvaje for World Oceans Day, and had the pleasure to be joined by the Tenerife Horse Rescue, Eco implicados, Paradise divers, but was also helped by MYND Hotel, and Ocean Beer who offered us free beers after 2 hours of acting to clean the beach. It was amazing to see that all together, was can act for a sustainable future! Thanks to everyone who came!!

STAVROS, Chania, Greece (Aprr. 20, 2012) Sailors assigned to U.S. Naval Support Activity (NSA) Souda Bay participate in a beach clean-up at Stavros beach. The event was sponsored by the NSA Morale, Welfare and Recreation department and the Navy Exchange to promote Earth Day 2012.

The Coast Guard, Texas General Land Office, and Bouchard Transportation representatives continue to respond to an oil discharge from a barge three miles off the jetties of Port Aransas, Texas. .

.

The discharge occurred after a fuel barge in the area caught fire.

This me (David Villa), my wife (Guadalupe Villa) and our friends at Oceanside California. We took a group photo while we were doing a beach cleanup picking up trash and plastic to help save our sea animals lifes.
