Here's to a "hangover~free TT everyone! Cheers!

Must have been the last thing the school kids did before schools closed.

In the earlier post's of this rowdy reptile, it seemed like I was very close to this beast (I wasn't). This was actually the closest I got to what can be a very dangerous animal. So I don't to want to hear of anybody being attacked when they try to take a selfie with an alligator on their cell phone. Don't do it!

Hi all. First a personal note which is something I do not normally post or do. My name is Steve, and I photograph and have been posting on Flickr under FarrahF and 1Sixth, I believe since 2012. Initially I was not going to post any of Noel's repaints in masks or really make any images about COVID-19 or 2020 on this account. But since I have contracted COVID and have been in quarantine since November 28th I thought I should post something relative and about Covid in general. This is not political but about everyone's health. I worked for the last nine months masked and being extremely careful. Unfortunately for me, I had an infected person directly behind me who expelled their cigarette smoke and saliva directly on my face, skin and in my eyes. I knew when I was exposed and I knew I was probably going to contract COVID. I registered on line and was tested and five days after I thought I'd been exposed it was confirmed on December 3rd and I have symptoms ranging from fever to extreme chest/stomach pain, fevers and breathing issues that landed me in the Emergency Room two days ago. The point in posting this little summary and these images is that you are better off Masking UP! and also incorporating some kind of eyewear protection. I was able to stave off being exposed for nine months as I was diligent about social distancing and staying masked up wherever I went. So I am just sharing this information with all of you who may read this or follow this account to stay safe, be diligent, be aware of who is around you and how close they are to you. It only takes one time. One chance encounter and you can become infected. I have no health issues or history of asthma, heart trouble or any allergies. So, I truly thought I would never contract Covid. But I have and I would not wish this on anyone. So, please, even if you think it is pointless or never going to hit you or someone you care about, MASK UP! Make an effort to protect yourself or others from you. You may be infected and not even know it.

To everyone who follows this account, thank you for following, for liking and for complimenting the photos I've taken. I have greatly enjoyed being a part of the Flickr community for years and hope to continue being a part of this amazingly creative outlet of collectors and photographers.

I wish you all a safe and healthy holiday.

Stay Safe, it's what we all want.

Our Provincial Health Officer, getting ready to spread the word.

Only my British Columbia friends will get this . Spotted in Port Moody - City of the Arts.

Shot with a fuji x-t30. Single off camera flash, a nikon sb800 with a homemade snoot, fired with a radio popper. The kids took turns being a human light stand.

To all who celebrate whether in the USA or abroad, please be safe, please wear a mask, please social distance, and please enjoy the day.

... fans were worried about how the MLB rule to extend netting was going to obscure their view, and ruin the game. Oh those were the good ol days.

The boys have finally resumed play, but as a fan, and a Dad with a Camera the club rule to keep people 50' back from the fence is going to be a challenge photographically speaking. #besafe #followtherules #wearamask #shoottelephoto

Maybe it's the three or four Stella Artois I've drank since quittin' time.

Maybe it's the beckoning call of 'El Gigante' deep within my soul.

I don't know.

I won't profess to know why.

I don't have all the answers.

But I'm thinkin' that I need a new pair of stompers for 2013.

Something a little more classy and 'sophisticated' compared to my zebra skin stompers.

Those shoes are a party on both feet for sure.

But I stopped at the Doc Marten store on Milwaukee Avenue the other night and I kinda dug these kicks.

I think I'm gonna go out and tear it up tonight you know?

And if I wake up with all my bond money still in my pocket...

maybe I'll head over to the Doc Marten store and pick these bad boys up.

Crushed red velvet.

Nothin' says cool like velvet.

I just got out of the shower and I'm thinkin' of hittin' the streets.

I hope you're feelin' some of that special brand of 'Friday-Love' right about now.

Feelin' it deep.

That bullshit week's behind is and it's time to live a little.

Cut loose.

Let your freak out.

Tie one on.

Get jiggly with it.

You have an amazing weekend and make sure you take care of yourself and do whatchoo dig doin' most with the ones you dig doin' it with.

If I see you out I'm buyin'.

As long as it's tequila.

Then we'll wake up and go get fitted for some new shoes.

Feel the love!

Friday-Love!

We are experiencing the tail end of a typhoon coming across from Japan. For me, living only a few blocks from open Pacific Ocean, I get to experience a lot of fierce storms. So far this one has been uninspiring. However, I do love this curtain dancing in the wind, dancing with the wind, perhaps trying to escape. Our world is in chaos right now, with not much positive in sight. Evil has been released, and I honestly do not see how we are going to fix things at least in my lifetime. I am almost protested out. I have been standing for something since I was a wee child, and I seem to not have the energy for it anymore. My whole spirit being wants simply to crawl away. I want to feel loving energy enough to make me want to dance in the wind, maybe to find freedom, maybe just to dance.

New moon next month ppl :)

I took this while walking with the big crowds moving along the street in Shinjuku a few hours after the earthquake, when all Tokyo trains were stopped. I was amazed to see quite a few Japanese girls passing by in hardhats. Not sure where they got them, but I've never seen that before.

Over the weekend, I was attending a workshop at Chimney Rock. When our group was leaving the lifeboat station at midday to go up to Pierce Point, I noticed a man sitting in a car at the Chimney Rock trailhead with a yellow Delphin on the roof. I looked at the guy, but couldn’t recognize him. There’s no launch spot nearby, that I know of.

Later in the day, when we returned to the Lifeboat Station, and were preparing dinner, a young man looking fretful arrived on our beach on his Hobie trimaran. He was concerned because he saw a yellow kayak floating without a person just north of the Lighthouse, but he couldn’t hail the Coast Guard nor 911 because his VHF had run out of battery. He was very distressed.

Someone in our group had a VHF (there’s no cell reception out there at all) and was able to alert the CG. Within a few minutes we could see Henry 1 (Sonoma Sheriff) and the Coast Guard circling overhead. Turns out the young man on the Hobie had the presence of mind to note the GPS coordinates of the kayak - good man! We listened on the VHF while the circling continued, and noted that the authorities somehow determined this to NOT be an emergency, and turned home.

A little while later, a woman came down the dirt road and asked us about the whereabouts of her husband’s kayak. OK… seems he had an out-of-boat experience and clambered up the cliffside and found his way back to his car. I don’t know where he put in, nor what happened. We pointed over the cliffside, and told the wife that the kayak was somewhere - “over there”.

At least we know the guy is alive.

Please feel free to use and share this Crying Eiffel Tower in remembrance of those victims who sadly and unnecessarily lost their lives in the shootings at Paris on Friday 13th / November / 2015

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who were hurt and killed in Paris. May the Lord save your souls.

When this season started, we were wondering where winterland was. We did not get any major spells of snow. But the last couple of days changed our place Winter Wonderland.

A severe ice storm swept through our place last couple of days. This creek is right next to my office. I was advised not to come for work, but this is the only place in the neighborhood with electricity. Last night was bad with no electricity. No heat, no cooking range, no TV, no computer/internet, limited use of cell phone. I managed to hike to my lab. They say power will be restored saturday midnight- if everything goes well.

On my way to work, I did see some winter storm havoc- see comments section.

Some people have a hard time grasping the range of music I appreciate, and don't understand that you can like both The Dead and Metallica (and other genres as well).

Music is definitely a lifeline, and both are Bay Area bands.

Just wanted to post this last picture which will be the last one I will be posting for a few days as I will be leaving for my granny's funeral tomorrow. Thank you to everyone for all your comforting and heart felt words. You have no idea how much they have helped me through this. I am grateful for all of you and I am so lucky to have so many wonderful friends.

I'll check back upon my return. I want to wish you all a very very Happy New Year. Stay safe. Be with those you love and hold them near and dear to you. Oh yeah, and have some fun this New Years Eve too, but be safe above all else.
