Is this far enough ?
We went out for our hour of exercise earlier this week, it was a beautiful day and this is local to our home, I hope you are all well my friends and being safe ..
Korth's Meadow - Iowa
Out hiking yesterday between showers and sprinkles in one of my favorite meadow areas. It was abnormally quiet, peaceful with only a few Canadian Geese fighting for their nesting rights!
My idea of isolating is hiking in remote areas, for the exercise, quiet and a little solitude! I truly hope that all my flickr friends and cousins will stay safe!

The day started out with a beautiful sunrise this morning. If you look out to the horizon there's a weather system moving in from the west. I'm hoping that it doesn't cloud up the sky too much tonight as I want to try and capture some stars. Having said that I hope I do…it's a crisp day out there and the sun's not going down for awhile. Hope you're enjoying it!
Took this the other day at my own expense. While slipping through the whole in the fence I was stabbed in the head by a arrant piece of fence. it hurt and I bled, but I still got this shot. I was going to post it no matter what after that. So here it is.
Remember to be safe out there.
like last year for the G7 in Biarritz, this military ship has been in the bay since this morning to protect us ... current events oblige! Don't be worried by the gray sky, the water is very good ;-)

It' s awfully dark back there, isn't it? War & politics....poverty.......
homelessness...terrorism......genocide.....economic collapse.....

"I still find each day too short
for all the thoughts I want to think,
all the walks I want to take,
all the books I want to read,
and all the friends I want to see."
(John Burroughs)
Let us continue the fight against this deadly disease in whichever way we can.
Let us remember all those people who are affected by this terrible disease.
And stay informed !!!

It is Independence Day in the US and we celebrate by flying the stars and stripes, wearing red, white and blue, with fireworks and too much food!
UPDATE:
Although Sandy wreaked havoc on other parts of the state with power outages, high winds and torrential rain...we were very blessed in my area. Some rain and windy conditions throughout the night. NY and NJ were hammered. I am praying for those that were less fortunate. The sun is shining and it's going to be off and on showers and windy today. Our high temperature will be 73. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.
..Hope that all of God's little creatures find a safe haven. Vermont is now declared a state of emergency. It is calm and sunny and 65 degrees as I type. The calm before the storm. Sandy is to hit within a couple hours bringing power outages, heavy rain and high winds! We could be without power for days. Be safe if you are in her path. Blessings.
How other countries are handling the demand for rapid antigen tests? Covid-19 cases skyrocket across Australia as national cabinet mulls rapid test plan.
.....may it be filled with all the colours of love & kindness, inspiration & friendship.
Happy New Year, everyone! Have a wonderful celebration & a joyful year 2010!
Be safe....please don't drink & drive!

I'm pretty sure some of these lyrics will be wrong. It's a combination of a few lyric websites and what I can hear myself, all of which are of course different. But you get the idea.
I love a bit of spoken word in a song, this one and it's lyrics are brilliant. It's one of those songs that I could just listen to on repeat for hours, and I sometimes do! If you haven't heard it you should definitely check it out.
I think I'll do spoken word songs for my next 8tracks playlist. So if anyone has any good recommendations let me know!
Have a safe and Happy Halloween and try not to stuff your cheeks with too many treats. As always, he looks cute on black!
In the old days I shot a lot of black and white, and I probably photographed people more than anything else. This is a tricky species - unpredictable, clever, sometimes dangerous - but with knowledge of its behaviour and common sense precautionary measures, it can be safely photographed.
Often, a seated, unarmed individual may be approached without causing alarm and eliciting the "fight or flight" response. A blind is usually not required, and unlike most wildlife species, it is acceptable to tempt them with food. In this case, a simple pot of herbal tea with honey was enough to put my subject at ease and obtain good quality images at close range.
Alright. Enough levity. The truth: I was going through old negatives. For some reason I had not even printed a contact sheet from this roll. Eyeballing the negative, I thought it looked promising, and therefore I scanned it. Too many years have elapsed for me to recall the details of this conversation, but it was obviously intense. We were sitting in my top floor suite in a communal house, where I lived for nearly two years. I didn't know Ron well; he was one of my acquaintances from my first years in Vancouver, in the 1970s. All camera settings were manual in those days, so I would practice guessing the exposure, setting the distance, waiting for the right moment, then lifting the camera to my eye and shooting quickly, before the person really understood what I was doing. It's basic photojournalism: f/8 and be there. And don't fiddle with the settings - visualize the image and then shoot fast!

"Just poppin' in to say, if you celebrate Halloween, hope you have a happy one. Most
outdoor actitvites have already been cancelled around here....... big storms are on the
way! But, if you choose to be out after dark tonight, I hope you remember to beware
and be safe! Love Ya!"

Tornado watch until 2AM. The weather folks call it a 'particularly dangerous situation" since we got very little rain today so the air has not cooled down.
May sound silly but I truly believe panda socks help in such a situation.
For all who are also under warning & watches, please be safe.
Once again we have successfully completed our annual fireworks smuggling run to Indiana.
It's been a long tradition in our family and our country.
Giving the finger to the authorities and blowing off lots of (allegedly) illegal fireworks to celebrate the birth of our republic.
Using cheap pyrotechnics made with slave labor in a communist country to celebrate American Independence!
The irony!
Add some beer and fire up the barbecue and you've got the most American holiday of them all.
It's time to blow somethin' up!
I hope you have some fun celebratin' the Fourth of July with the ones you love.
Have a great time and try to keep all of your fingers!
Happy Fourth of July!
