On Wednesday 8 March the Perth Design Studio hosted its first International Women’s Day event, a breakfast with two guest speakers, WA’s First Registered Builder -Sue Churn and International Futurist - Anni Macbeth. The event was a Double Talk style with the past and the future discussed as guests were encouraged to #BeBoldForChange. Pressed Juices were on offer and all breakfast treats were gluten free, dairy free, preservative free and no added sugar! 60 guests attended, all walked away with a goodie bag from Inner Ego juice also featuring a Brickworks branded salad bowl.

The must-have accessory at the demonstration was a knit cap with two points at the top to suggest cat ears, made out of bright pink yarn. The "pussyhats", was an initiative by 29-year-old screenwriter Krista Suhcame from LA.
