The Battle of Naseby was fought on Saturday14th of June 1645.
It was fought between the Royalist army of Charles the 1st and The Parliamentarian army led by Sir Thomas Fairfax. The strength of the Royal army was 7,400 men and the strength of the New Model army was 13,676. King Charles the 1st army were outnumbered by 2 to1. The outcome of this battle would decide the fate of the King and would change the course of history this country would endure. The Kings army was destroyed and he would never be able to raise a strong army again. King Charles was soon captured and on the 30th of January 1649 was beheaded.

actual battle site and glued them together .This where l am standing was the New Model Army front line. On the green field opposite beyond the trees was where Charles had his army

Walking across the battlefield after the end of the commemorative service.
I found the whole experience very moving and the battlefield itself is now a beautiful, peaceful place with the sound of skylarks all around.

Why such a name ? haha 'cause the photos taken with that thing look like a battlefield because of all the sprocket holes squatting the framing... )

Site in Southeastern Washington State of the 1858 To-Hots-Nim-Me Battle between the US Army and the Palouse Indians. The Indians won, but appear to have been merciful, allowing the Army survivors to retreat.
