I don’t usually go about taking pictures in public restrooms (with one notable exception), but I was unable to resist this one, in the men’s room of the Anacapa Brewing Co. The fact that the sign is neatly framed probably helps to discourage vandalism.

When I was in my friend Gina's bathroom I noticed some amazing patterns on the wall!!
Went to see my GP last night - she is wonderful! Had no idea about all the drama I'd been having, but was so concerned, but pleased I look so well at the moment!!
Will not start any new migraine treatment till I've seen the consultant again, but she is happy for me to decrease the old one (Nortriptyline). Wants me off work till we know exactly what's going on. Advised to just take paracetamols for headaches but Sumatriptan is fine in severe cases. New concerns that maybe I've had an aneurysm!! Bit nervous about that now!! Will see her again in 2 weeks. She gave me a hug as I left!! Lovin' these hugs!! :~]
Actually the last bathroom image i took - notice i removed the seat. The trick here was to move the hand towel at the basin so to hide the 's' trap. The glass towel railheater is better shown off in landscape. Private client - owner/architect.
On display at Pecha Kucha 07 - Sydney
The proprietor of a lovely circa 1800’s Bed and Breakfast wanted to transform an under utilized second floor kitchenette into a bathroom/spa oasis. Navigating the challenges of an involved second floor renovation, we began deconstruction of the kitchenette. In the process of adding and updating the bathroom with modern amenities like a steam shower, pedestal sink and toilet, we were able to maintain the continuity of the existing architecture by mimicking the trim on all of the custom built-ins and accenting with wainscoting. To efficiently maximize space we added a well-designed custom storage area. We also incorporated the proprietor’s idea of closing off a doorway and turned it into an esthetically pleasing and functional bookcase. The finished result yielded an inviting place for the guests to hideaway, relax and thoroughly pamper themselves.

My dad asked me for 2 wall quilts to hang in his bathroom to muffle the echoey noise in there. Ah, dads. Ever practical. But I'm thrilled at the opportunity to make something fun for him for Christmas, so this is what he gets.
I used three different colours of face flannel (wash cloth) to make some towels for the bathroom. Hot pink, baby pink and lilac. I used the edge where there was a pattern. This also meant I didn't have to do any sewing as it didn't fray! I also made a bath mat and blind (which I will show properly tomorrow when I finish the shower curtain, and post pics :)
All we need is a bathroom door and real window shades and we'll have ONE room done!
BEFORE photo here.
We moved the toilet, installed a clawfoot tub (to replace the shower stall), put in all new tile - and rebuilt the window trim and medicine cabinet. (whew!)
the prompt BATH in the A-Z Doll Photo group gave me the impetus to finally organize the parts i have been gathering for a nice bathroom. an IKEA shelf is the roombox.
Doll packs always get me, especially when they feature doll families. When I was growing up, there weren’t many options for expensive, large gift packs available. Sometimes there were Barbie and sisters sets, and you could get the mini Disney dolls together for certain lines. But beyond that, kids from my generation were not nearly as lucky as the kids of today. I immediately noticed the gift pack trend when I got back into collecting in 2011. There were Disney packs, showcasing most of the main princesses, there were huge Barbie sets, and even Monster High! I could feel my inner child craving these sorts of gift packs, and as time went on I was able to feed that desire. Despite not having much experience or fondness for the O.M.G.s, this Amazing Surprise! pack did catch my eye immediately. It was sometime before the 2019 holiday season, when our local Wal-Mart was stocking up on Christmas toys. I was intrigued, and mistook the set as featuring 14 O.M.G. dolls. I literally had never heard of L.O.Ls before, despite the fact that they’d been out a while (it’s that darn surprise packaging). I secretly was curious, but I never thought I’d get the set. The O.M.G.s were ridiculously overpriced compared to what I usually pay for dolls ($26 being the “cheapest” option). I also couldn’t admire the dolls in stores due to their secretive (aka stupid) packaging. How could I warm up to something that I couldn’t actually look at in person?!!! The one time I had seen Crystal Star at Target, I was less than impressed by the Betty Boop/Diva Starz-esque doll.
But then the L.O.L. bug hit me after seeing the tiny dolls advertised on the Glamper. I then found two #Hairgoals dolls on sale at Walmart in the clearance section. Upon opening them, it was love. And after ten minutes, I assessed that they would be my next greatest addiction. So I spent the next few days stalking the dolls online and searching high and low in the clearance section at Walmart. That’s where I found one lone Amazing Surprise! pack marked down. It was still wildly expensive, and only $20 off from its original price. Yet I couldn’t help myself. This was my ideal kind of scenario...a large set with the L.O.L. dolls I was in love with, AND the chance to sample two O.M.G.s and boys. PLUS the dolls comprised TWO families!!! After finding photos of them online, I knew I had to get this set, and it weighed on my mind all day. Colleen was just as on board with this poor financial decision. So one Friday night in January of 2020, we ventured out to Walmart to procure the costly set. At first I thought someone bought it since it was not in the same place. My heart sank, until I found it in the next clearance aisle. So off we went to self checkout with the ridiculously massive box in tow. Needless to say, we were more than happy with this decision. Although the wasteful surprise style packaging bothers me more than words can express, my love of the dolls could not be dampened. It was a great decision for us--I got more L.O.L.s, three fabulous boys, and two O.M.G.s who were the bomb dot com. I couldn’t envision myself forking over the $26 plus for one O.M.G. regularly (I won’t even do that for limited edition Bratz usually), so I thought this was the best way I could have two until they turned up secondhand. I have ogled other O.M.G.s online, but honestly, Downtown B.B. and Uptown Girl are my faves made so far! Also, I even got to explore the worlds of the Lils and pets ...things I would never buy separately, but love to get in lots.
In a strange way, this set is nostalgic for both me and Colleen. While L.O.L. and O.M.G.s were not out when we were growing up, nor were massive packs like this, it is something we would have been bonkers for. I can see us begging Mom and Dad to get us one of these to split for Christmas. Colleen would have wanted the pink, girly, Uptown family without a doubt. Plus, she would have been happier with the two girl L.O.L. dolls and the sole boy (who also pees--a gimmick she would enjoy). I on the other hand would have insisted upon getting the edgier Downtown family, who also sports dark skin (I always gravitated towards ethnic/darker dolls ever since I was young). Not only that, but I would have been excited to get not one, but TWO boys!!! The inclusion of the pets would have been a win win for Colleen and I too. We used to play with 90s Littlest Pet Shop creatures when we were very young. The L.O.L. pets remind me fondly of them, but they can do things like pee and spit. Colleen and I always had a very bathroom oriented sense of humor. So the fact that these dolls and pets can sometimes pee would have tickled our fancy. After opening and admiring the dolls, I told Colleen that I could envision our younger selves playing with this pack in a boarding house/apartment style game. The moment the words left my mouth, Colleen chimed that she had been thinking the EXACT same thing. I can see it now--us putting the dolls in my tiny, homemade, wooden dollhouse. Our families would live opposite of one another. Her dolls would be prim and proper until they were hanging out with mine. That’s when the little kids would all be running around outside the complex peeing in the bushes and fighting. The pets would be having accidents inside, and we would be on the floor in fits of giggles. Knowing how much this set would have sparked our imaginations as kids makes me all that much more fond of it!
Aaand...this concludes bathroom week. On this one, I was both blessed by more space and damned by the toilet :) Client (designer) wanted just one shot of this bathroom, to encompass everything, so we pretty much had to go with this comp. (Believe me, the toilet was discussed!)
Two frames blended: One all-ambient frame for the right side, and a flashed frame (at about 1/100) for the left side. Wish I had gotten more detail in the tub interior...there was probably some contouring in there that could have been brought out.
Feedback and suggestions are always much appreciated...thank you!
What a surprise to see this little visitor last night! I told Tim and JJ I was off up to have a bath, and JJ said, "oh, beware of the ladybird on the door!" Then Tim said, "oh yes, I saw it on the bannisters yesterday!" I checked all the surfaces before my bath as I didn't want to share it, but there was no sign. Then, when I went to clean my teeth, I spotted the little spotty creature!!
This is the bathroom of a pearl farm in Halong Bay, Vietnam. Pearl are grown inside the oysters, that are in the nets you can see on both sides of the bridge. It is not very nice to imagine what those oysters are eating!
I made the blind from a vintage fabric piece which cost £1. We revamped with new paint, tiles and a few vintage accessories.

Completely forgotten.... OMG! How could it happened to me?? I bought this set almost 4 years ago and I forgot it. Days ago when I moved some boxes in my toy's closet I found it! I almost die in happiness, definitely I feel like I found a treasure or won a lottery!! Hehe!
This is a Frade's bathroom, made probably on 70's in Italy. No accessories are included on this set, I took some pictures from the original box too. Enjoy them!

Modular 6: bathroom
This one was created as a 100 supporters-special. It includes a shower, a sink, a toilet and some very nice bathroom accessoires. And certainly two minifigs: a boy who only wears a pair of underpants and a girl with a brush.
