A shot of my gorgeous Parisian friend and model Sophia, from our first ever studio shoot (a few days ago).
This was a fun shoot, but it's always a pleasure for me to work with Sophia. It also meant we could avoid the rather "quirky" Parisian weather. :-)
As previously noted, my thanks are due to my Flickr contact papillon de jour2010, for first putting me in touch with Sophia.
You can see other shots I took of Sophia in my Sophia set.
Love the picture from her <3 :* www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3pH_MBlOIM&feature=youtu.be there are more picturtes :D
Barbie Basics 2.5 Model #14 (louboutin) redressed in a dress I made from some scrap fabric. Gold chains accent it. It has a mermaid skirt but I couldn't photograph it in a way I liked. (This was the third bodice I made for the dress, the first two got ripped by my evil sewing machine)
I was lucky enough to be gifted three of the basics girls for Christmas from my children.
1 redressed in a My Scene top and basics jeans
7 redressed in a basics top and skirt Best Model Milan

247 with a nice and simple, plain pair of toasters climbs the Niagara escarpment on the northern part of the Hamilton Sub.
An added bonus, to me at least, was the head end intermodal traffic not normally seen on 247. The suspicion was the nightly 142 intermodal train was over tonnage for the climb up the escarpment, and dropped the stacks shown here at Kinnear which was later lifted by 247. Catching a rare daylight 143 or 142 intermodal on the Hamilton Sub is always fun for me, so this photo of 247 masquerading as a late 142 always makes me crack a smile ;)
The body is from one of the medium-dark color tone Darius'. The ken head is brighter than the body, as it has a bit more caramel in the color tone. But, it will work for now, asI am not likely to find an affordable better matching FR head for it and I have another Darius already.
A desktop wallpaper I made since December 2009. The Barbie Basics dolls by Bill Greening with a black Barbie logo on top. I even gave the dolls names, myself.
The dolls pictured are Models No. 03, 08, 05, 02, 12, 01, 11, 07, 04, 06, 09, and 10 from Collection 001.
Image and logo are owned by Mattel.
Feel free to download. :-)
Why so soon!? So soon when I don't have the money. Aargh! Apparently 3.0 collection is now available at the BC.com. So it's official, I'm getting Lara, Mbili and Louboutin and the accessory packs. I support the Basics line to the full extent because this has what made me (re)consider collecting Barbies and I can't help but to be opinionated and be passionate about it. 3.0 is a great continuation to the line but what it fail to do was be consistent with the number of dolls released. To make up for the draw back is the addition of accessories within each doll. But each one has the same assortment of accessories which is a total let down. The decrease in the number of dolls might be (I'm making a theory right here. LOL) is that, they MIGHT just release Collection 3.5 and increase the number of dolls from there. After all this is the last collection, they have to end it with a bang! Technically 3.5 is still part of the 3.0 collection, right? The .5 collections are just extensions of the existing main collection but with an added flare or twist. So I'm really hoping to see the 3.5 and the Red Target collections. I hope my theory is right. Le't all cross our fingers on that!
Juliette was originally a Barbie Basics Model #3 from the 1st Collection. She was given a new hairstyle and rerooted with Original Brunette.
Moon was my fav subject when i first owned a bridge camera SX10 IS with 20x optical zoom. I learned a lot on metering, focusing and hand holding for such a huge zoom with it. With my new arsenal (:p) i have to go back to basics to learn that again.. and this time it was lot easier than what i had to go when i started.
A cropped version so that you can see the details on moon. You can still see large here

I love brown & white ~ dark wood & white plastic ~ textures & patterns ~ ...and making 3D mood boards or else styling experiments based on something that fired an inspiration.

Well there isn't free space as usually, so I made my Basics Wall to display some collections. Black Basics are finally complete. There could be my Fashionistas wall sometimes too : P
