It's always good to go back and study your basics. Especially when learning a new riding system! Nox is really enjoying his new Shetland Pet-to-Avatar conversion and wanted to join a beginner's working equitation class today to make sure he keeps a strong foundation.

Basic wool jumpers in different colours, handknitted by me.

it all comes down to shapes, colors and lines.

Lol. This picture made #44 on explore. I can't keep from laughing.

Goes to show the stupidity of that idea.

No, I don't know why it came up in your mind, but this isn't a tiny breast. This is a tiny hill.

back is my favourite part of this bodymold. it's so lifelike!

Here you see two "different" tessellations, backlit. Front and backside are now crossed, instead of beside each other. I did this because in my eyes all sides are fronts sides ;-))

They have been discovered by many people, so I call them "Basics".

Each folded from hexagon about 17cm, glassine, grid 1:32

Here you can see "Basics", in real life, using the same patterns, but folded with different paper.

Nothing new for people who make tessellations, but I thought it would be nice, for those who don't fold, to give a little inside how basics forms can be altered into different shapes. It's a little exploring I started during the summer holidays ;-)

Happy weekend!

If you are interested to see more, have a look at my tessellation album "Origami - Tessellation Progression".

Went out for a family walk to today and left all my new kit at home ( not out of choice my battery was dead once again when will I learn ) so I blew all the dust of my trusty nikon d90 and 18-105mm lens and went back to basics.

I just couldnt go to bed until I spent some time practising processing.

My hair looks terrible because it rained while I was out! Booo!

Thankyou by the way for all the lovely comments and faves lately, I really appreciate every single one of you for taking your time to look through my stream :)

My good ol' GF1 has come back to life again now that I've reunited it with it's prime partner: the 20mm f1.7.

I gave some of my barbie basics an extreme makeover...

These two gals had their lips repainted and their bodies swapped.

The bodies are pivotal fashionistas with some action dolls' spair feet transplant

The dresses are barbie basics

the jewelry is recycled vintage

the Vespa is a small toys shop find (in Athens)

This was a hard challenge. I had no idea how I managed a pic under water :-(

But Kathrin and me try our best.

Mercedes Doctors Response car outside The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel - 22.9.15

I haven't been on Pan Am recently, mostly because the power has been kind of 'meh', with NS motors taking over my neck of the woods. Plus, the trips to Lowell, Lawrence and beyond for blue leaders were getting kind of old - there are only so many angles to go around when you've only got so much time to invest. The blue GEs are very sharp, which means they tend to attracts crowds, and I'm admittedly a rather anti-social being. However, this was a good afternoon, chasing POAY (Portland to Ayer) through district 2. Here's the basic three-quarter shot of the train approaching Power Company Rd in Tewksbury.

Got home to a surprise at the door. Yay for the Basics!!! Can't wait to break them out!!!

"Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous, love is never boastful or conceited; it is never rude or selfish; it does not take offense, and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins but delights in the truth; it is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes."
