CN: [Malay and regional vernacular names - Tali pancing, Binahong], Basell-potatoes, Bridal wreath, Madeira-vine, Mignonette-vine, luo kui shu, Enredadera del mosquito. Native of South America; elsewhere naturalized and cultivated. an evergreen climber that grow from fleshy rhizomes. It has bright green, heart-shaped, fleshy shiny leaves 4–13 cm long. Wart-like tubers are produced on aerial stems and are a key to identifying the plant. It produces masses of small fragrant, cream flowers on dependent racemes, which may be up to 30 cm (12 in) in length. The plant spreads via the tubers, which detach very easily. The combination of fleshy leaves and thick aerial tubers makes this a very heavy vine. It smothers trees and other vegetation it grows on and can easily break branches and bring down entire trees on its own. Leaves and rhizomes eaten and also used in folkloric medicine.

Appuntamento rimandato con la prima vittoria in campionato per l'Hellas Verona. Mandorlini al Bentegodi contro il Torino conferma il 4-3-3 con il tridente composto dalla novità Siligardi, insieme a Toni e Gomez.
Partono bene i gialloblù, al 3' calcio d'angolo di Viviani e colpo di testa alto di poco sopra la traversa di Marquez. Nove minuti più tardi protagonisti su punizione sempre Viviani e Marquez, difensore messicano ancora una volta pericoloso davanti alla porta di Padelli. Al 16' punizione di Viviani, spizzica di testa Moras ma sul secondo palo non c'è nessun gialloblù, pallone che termina direttamente sul fondo. Alla mezz'ora di gioco ci prova il Torino con Peres, ma il sinistro del terzino è debole e centrale, blocca senza problemi Rafael. Al 37' ottima chiusura di Marquez in calcio d'angolo. Verona che mantiene a lunghi tratti il pallino del gioco, gialloblù che ci provano al 41' con Greco, cross per la testa di Toni, Padelli si distende bene sulla sua destra. Ultima azione del primo tempo che vede ancora la squadra gialloblù protagonista: angolo di Viviani, mischia in area granata con Padelli che si salva in qualche modo. Proteste della panchina gialloblù per la trattenuta in area su Luca Toni, ma per il direttore di gara è tutto regolare. A pagare per tutti è il preparatore dei portieri Morini che viene allontanato dal quarto uomo.
Pioggia battente per tutto il secondo tempo al Bentegodi, ripresa che si apre nel migliore dei modi per l'Hellas Verona. Al 3' rigore per i gialloblù per fallo su Gomez. Batte Toni sotto la Curva Sud, capitano e bomber scaligero che supera Padelli e sigla così la sua prima marcatura in campionato. Al 10' sinistro strozzato di Siligardi che termina direttamente sul fondo e due minuti dopo colpo di testa alto sopra la traversa di Pisano che al 16' viene invece ammonito. Primo cambio per l'Hellas Verona al 18', Jankovic al posto di Siligardi, ex Genoa subito ammonito. Ma al 21' il Torino pareggia con Baselli, centrocampista granata che approfitta degli errori di Souprayen prima e di Rafael poi. Ma l'Hellas Verona c'è ed al 26' torna ancora una volta in vantaggio: punizione di Viviani sulla trequarti e colpo di testa vincente di Gomez che supera Padelli. Nemmeno il tempo di festeggiare che il Torino, complice la respinta errata del portiere brasiliano, trova di nuovo la parità con Acquah. Al 39' Mandorlini manda in campo Pazzini e Ionita al posto di Gomez e Sala. Ci prova l'ex attaccante del Milan, conclusione da fuori area che termina alta. Dopo quattro minuti di recupero, termina 2-2 al Bentegodi. Nel prossimo turno, l'Hellas Verona sarà di scena a Bergamo contro l'Atalanta.
