Solo Chase Day & Close to Home....

Luv it when the chases are in my backyard. Not having to drive 3 states and 1200 miles in 1 day is relief. I know I'm not the only chaser that says that. This was a phenomenal afternoon of severe weather. When I say this... It means that its photogenic & for the most part not effecting the farms, agriculture, livestock & the human element.

Mammatus before the storm, then I decided to bail on this first storm for the next which was to the north about 25 miles. This storm had wicked good rotation under the base. Even though it was high based it was producing some freakin awesome views.

The storm had overtaken my position and I had a 40 min drive to get back in front of this storm. It was on my tail the whole way back to the I-80 corridor. Though a little late I was still able to get back in front of shelf cloud. The teeth on the outflow were almost scraping the ground. It gave the effect of a funnel but it was not. Been doing this to long to make sure I know the difference.

That was a hoot. Though I waited til the last minute. I got swallowed by the core & had to wait it out. Want to see what its like out in the open with no shelter... This I have also done a billion times. 50mph winds rocked my truck! That was fun!

Finally, I blazed it backed to Kearney for this Storms Finale... Beautiful Sunset light illuminates the exiting storm with a Anvil Rain & Mammatus Cluster ... It was truly a Sight to See!!!!

Skiing at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort in Baker County Oregon

A perfect winter weekend at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort. This Baker County ski resort is arguably the best-kept powder secret in the in Oregon. The Rock Garden chair lift serves twenty-one runs that drop over 900 vertical feet with over 40% of the resorts runs rated expert black diamond. The dry climate in Eastern Oregon, coupled with the 9,000-foot peaks of the Elkhorn Range result in a powder so dry the Anthony Lakes crew has to occasionally water it down around the lifts. Nestled in the Elkhorn Mountains with the highest base elevation of any Oregon Ski Area and an average annual snowfall of 300 inches, Anthony Lakes is powder heaven. If you like to take in the scenic views at a slower pace, you can cross-country ski or snowshoe on more than 30 km of groomed trails through the Anthony Lakes Basin and Elkhorn Range of the Blue Mountains. Want a little something different? A Cat-ski operator and full guide service leads adventure seekers into the backcountry bowls and chutes for a one of a kind powder experience.

'Why are we this close to these large boulders and rocks? Shouldn't we build a bit further away?'

These rocks will be part of our base... We can build higher this way, and use those natural caves as well...'

'Them rocks look weird, regular, almost build!'

'Ah well, probably just basalt or something, you have those weird geometric rock patterns at some place on earth too...'

This montage is based on four of my own photographs, taken at ZSL London Zoo on 1st April 2014.

Featuring Melati and her three cubs (two male; one female), who were born 3rd February.

Melati was born at Perth Zoo, Australia. The cubs' father is Jae Jae, who was born at San Francisco Zoo. He was then moved to Akron Zoo, Ohio, before subsequently arriving at ZSL London Zoo.

As there are only about 300 panthera tigris sumatrae left in the wild, my montage is a celebration of new life for this critically endangered species.

Effects created via layering and a soft fractalius render.

Today I can present you my newest creation: A Base on Rodia.

This time I really tried to make the base looking good in a architectural way, too.

Also I tried to improve my rockwork and my trees with new techniques.

I hope you like it! Please tell my what you don't like. Thanks!

Comments and favs are appreciated.

Of course I have a nice YouTube Video with closer looks, too.

Greetings,

Basing View is a 65-acre business park situated in the heart of Basingstoke, in the English county of Hampshire, is a short walk from the railway station and town centre.

Currently a programme of major redevelopment is transforming Basing View and opening up a wide choice of business space options for companies of all sizes. As the freeholder, the Basingstoke & Deane council is playing a key role in helping promote and stimulate new investment in the area and is committed to investing long term in Basing View.

Basing View is a first class destination for businesses, with a mix of new, planned and refurbished office space, a new business class hotel, a wide range of amenities and the convenience of a town centre location. Around 4,500 people currently work at the park and it is envisaged that the regeneration project has the potential to double the number over the next 15 years.

The business district is currently home to more than 180 national and international businesses as well as a growing SME community and a new state-of-the-art 5G Living Lab.

In the distance on the left is Fanum House which is the headquarters of the Automobile Association in Basingstoke. It is one of several current and former AA buildings named "Fanum House" around the country. The original headquarters in Leicester Square, London, was also called Fanum House, "Fanum" being the call sign of the AA.

Closer and to the right of Fanum House is Viewpoint, and closer and to the right of that is The Square.

The building in the foreground has since been demolished and is being replaced.

Based on a single image of the wind turbine at Green Park near the M4. I wanted to emphasise the rotational motion of the turbine.

Based on my yellow Ford Capri mk1 I built this Capri RS2600. Although I think this version isn't as easy recocnizable as the yellow one, I'm a bit happier with it. The wheels are a better fit in terms of size and especially the rear of the car looks better without the bumper.

Again the model is 7 studs wide, so kind of minifig-scale.

Like always I only used genuine LEGO parts, no cutting, no glue, no painting.

What a simplistic-yet-amazing airplane. The "57" in the tail number stands for the year "1957"...think about that. And then realize these planes are still flying today.

I enjoyed my time flying this old bird despite its flaws (like lack of A/C on the ground). And I always loved the look of the perfectly-rounded CFM-56s; they just looked so good (as opposed to the squished bottoms of what you find on 737s). Sure, it meant scraping the pods on takeoff or landing was a constant threat, but I never scraped one during my tenure flying the real tanker!

As the saying goes and like I like to remind my fighter pilot brethren: NKAWTG...N!

In my opinion the prettiest closed roof 250.
