Sue Barker welcomes the BBC TV audience on Day 3 of the Davis Cup semi-final between GB and Australia at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow.

The James R. Barker heads upbound past the MV Indiana Harbor just above the Detroit Edison Recor power plant at about 22:00 on June 27, 2014. In the background is the Ontario Power plant at Courtright, Ontario. This plant received coal by vessel until a few years prior but has either been converted or is in the process of being converted to natural gas.

Starting off 2020 with one of my favorite boats, Interlake Steamship Company's James R. Barker as it arrives in Duluth. After morning thundershowers, skies turned bright and sunny this afternoon in time for the Barker's arrival. I picked a good spot on the pier as they began their master salute right in front of me and the Barker's dual note horns shook me to the core. The south pier was also lined with many fisherman as the annual smelt run is on and I saw at least one good looking fish come over the wall. After taking a delay at the MERC dock, it is scheduled to load 60,000 tons of Utac Mustang pellets to CN Dock 6 to feed blast furnace #7 at Indiana Harbor.

From a spontaneous day-trip.

Clive Barker can write a damn sexy novel. I know, he's gay but I've always been a bit of a fag hag. I adore this man. His writing gets into me. His imagery translates perfectly in my mind. So, here he is at 20 years old looking gorgeous. I wonder what he was like then. If you are interested Clive also makes the most moving and impactful art! It ranges from magical, sexy, disturbing and spiritual. Google him.

Motor Vessel Kaye E. Barker was built by American Ship Building Company at Toledo, Ohio, as Edward B. Greene, flagship of the Cleveland-Cliffs Steamship Company fleet. She was lengthened with the addition of a 120-foot midbody section at Fraser Shipyards, Inc., Superior, Wisconsin, in 1976. In 1981, American Ship Building Company, Toledo, converted her to a self-unloader. In 1985, she joined the Rouge Steel Company fleet and was renamed Benson Ford. Upon joining the Interlake family in 1989, she became Kaye E. Barker, honoring the wife of Interlake's Chairman of the Board and President. In 2012 the Kaye E Barker was repowered at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
