Barely got all this beauty in.
Heading out soon for my last major photo safari of the year. Hope to fill up lots of memory cards. Easy to do in beautiful Canada.
Have a wonderful couple of weeks. I know I will.
Thanks for taking a look!
why not :) :) Dear Ellen~ you have expressed so many times
how much you like this piece...so I thought~what could be better
then dedicate it to YOU! and happy to do this !
Happy Birthday to YOU !! :) hugs !!!
Dear friends, contact, members and visitors~ this is my private
and most honest wish... only to invite this image to groups
where it belongs...flowers, textures etc... we simply can
not have one image in every group..it is not fair to other
images, not fair to their creators...
for instance , this will not be in Paragon Gallery :)
Thank You!

The flowers from our daughters wedding bouquet are gradually going over but I always think tulips look beautiful at every stage.
Many thanks for all the kind comments and faves; they're very much appreciated :)
Only minimal processing was necessary here. What you see is very close to what this man-made, almost empty stormwater retention-pond landscape looks like in winter, when a thin snow cover hides the messy ground.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. All comments and Faves are very much appreciated
The main designers of this terrific ice sculpture at the hydroelectric power plant Niezelgrund are water drops, coldness and time. One drop alone wouldn't have effected anything here, without the other components. But the combination of these three elements were capable to creat this fugacious masterpiece.
For me this is the perfect symbol for live and the wish to achieve ore to create something. Yes, often the right circumstances are needed, but they alone are effecting nothing yet. Only with the permanent effort for my task, the passion of sustaining and proceeding, even if I can see barely any results at the beginning, make it possible for me to create something really extraordinary. And if finaly I'm the only one who is able to see, what extraordinary means, it still was worth it.

This primrose has survived wind, torrential rain, nearby flooding, and frost his morning. Potted and on our back deck, I tried to capture it in the weak sun today.
Storm - Lifehouse
How long have I been in this storm?
So overwhelmed by the ocean's shapeless form
Water's getting harder to tread
With these waves crashing over my head
If I could just see you
Everything would be alright
If I'd see you
This darkness would turn to light
And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
I know everything is alright
I know you didn't bring me out here to drown
So why am I ten feet under and upside down?
Barely surviving has become my purpose
'Cause I'm so used to living underneath the surface
If I could just see you
Everything would be alright
If I'd see you
This darkness would turn to light
And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
I know everything is alright

Taken at Panama City Beach, FL. Was able to catch a few bolts before it got dark today, I'm learning!! Hope all are well, may God Bless You, and have a wonderful day!!
Twas a moody morning at Cascade Pond. The mountains were shrouded with the top of Mt. Inglismaldie barely breaking thru the low clouds. Was oh so tranquil and peaceful this morning, before the winds arrived.
When one goes on a photo safari we always hope for good weather, as light is The Boss. My trip last June to Banff had lots of storms. While the rain, wind and storms limited some of my shooting options it did provide some good opps for the stormy shots I also love. We take advantage of whatever is available eh?
An image of the bridge across the pond in comments.
Thanks for taking a look! Always appreciated.
Neuschwanstein was built in 1869 for King Ludwig II. of Bavaria erected as an idealized idea of a knight’s castle from the time of the Middle Ages. The designs were created by Christian Jank, the design was taken over by Eduard Riedel and Georg von Dollmann. The king lived only a few months in the castle, he died before the completion of the plant. Neuschwanstein is the most famous of the castles of Ludwig II. and one of the most famous sights in Germany. It is visited annually by about 1. 5 million tourists – now also by me. Here is a classic view of the south side from the Marienbridge at the blue hour, which required some patience on the part of the photographer until the bridge was finally deserted and barely moved.

The early morning sky in Central Florida reflected a nice lavender in the water as this female Snail Kite is delicately reaching into the water to grasp an apple snail. Females are light brown and patterned, like this lady, and the males are dark all over except for the white stripe in their tail feathers. They also have piercing red eyes. That said, the females are lovely. As I've mentioned in past posts, Snail Kites have adapted themselves into an evolutionary corner, solely dependent upon a diet of snails. Their talons and bill are shaped perfectly for the task. They and limpkins, which also feast on snails, sometimes build large piles of shells where they have set up a comfortable eating station. Limpkins will forage deeper down into the water with their long bills, where Snail Kites reach down with their talons and keep most of their body out of the water. (Rostrhamus sociabilis)
... barely seen a butterfly this summer, but yesterday I caught this one in my front yard ...

From the Indiana Dunes beach, you can just barely see the Chicago skyline across Lake Michigan. Here, the sun is setting to the south (left) of the city. Look on the right side of the horizon and you can see the Sears tower / Willis tower and the rest of the skyline faintly visible.
Autumn leaves bursting with red, yellow and bronze tones dominate this scene in late autumn as the dominant trees have lost most of their leaves
as we run around, preparing for and enjoying this holiday season, remember there are those who are suffering at this time of year. please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

This little 1 inch high vessel was sealed with a few flecks of gold inside floating in water, bought by my youngest son William on a holiday many years ago. He kept it safe until a few months back when I found it empty - he obviously thought he might be able to make a few quid - as a 16 year old he is now trying to turn anything into money!
I almost threw it away and then thought better of it. A lovely little vase for teeny tiny flowers!
