I'm not particularly good at photographing the night sky but I keep trying in the hopes that my images will improve.
The stars above the Ranger's house that we stayed at in the Makuleke Concession had the advantage of not being hidden by excessive ambient light. The only light came from the house (and the torch that I used to light the tree) and even that is solar powered.

Avenue of the Baobabs in early morning light. Grandidier's baobabs, some up to 2,800 years old, line the dirt road in western Madagascar, near Morondava.
Many thanks to all who visited, commented and faved.
In my mind, this beautiful concrete street light looked like a lone baobab tree.

A forest of Baobab Trees near Morondava, Madagascar. Seeing these rare and exotic trees in person was one of my bucket-list items. I took this photo during a 2019 visit to the fascinating island nation, located east of Africa
The trees produce a dry fruit resembling a small coconut. The powdered flesh is mixed with water to make a popular local drink (it's not bad...)
