Daily lockdown walk.

 

I've had a bit of a disjointed day today as we've had 2 power cuts, so my planned jobs only got part done.

 

Just as I started my walk, the bridge went, up to let this yacht through. As you can see from this shot, the Twin Sails bridge is closed in the up position for repairs, so we are down to one bridge this weekend.

Just uploading a few more shots from the bank holiday weekend. There was an unusually low tide & mist, on the Monday evening and it made for some great photo opportunities with so many visitors on the beach that evening

Faith created the 15ft long cat from approx 2,000 reclaimed plastic milk bottles collected by staff in the city’s Cunard Building and later cut up by hand by the artist and stitched onto chicken wire.

 

The Ships Cat is joined on the quayside by Super Rat (previously displayed in the Baltic Triangle) with two new baby rats created with local schools St Patrick's Primary and Childwall Academy.

 

Quote: She’s the maritime moggie with a tail to tell and is weighing anchor at the Albert Dock for the duration of the Tall Ships Regatta.
