Photo 12 in my 365 day challenge.
A small cupboard at Northenden Methodist Church is used by the local thespians to store their props.
I was not cheeky enough to look inside the boxes, but the labels alone set the creative cogs in my brain whirring into life.
Ashwin is an Actor, A Voice Over Artist, A StandUp Comedian and a Salsa DJ.
Most of you know him from his roles in Fashion, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Quick Gun Murugan, Life In a Metro and other movies. What most of you don't know he acts in a bunch of plays and is one of the best Salsa DJs around !
One of the most genuinely wonderful persons I've met off twitter, his wife Rebecca is a star baker (@bakingtray)

ugly and old, not to get clean any more. It made all the moves with us: the best baking tray ever.
for Scavenge Challenge #15 Why am I keeping this? Worn-out but still functional items apply here.
We hosted my Mother-in-Law for Easter this year. We made Hash Brown casserole, Slovak Easter cheese, Strawberry & Mandarin orange Spinach salad, Ham & Cheese puff pastry and heated up sliced Ham and Kielbasa.
My Mother-in-Law brought over her Potato salad and Pistachio pudding pie.
We ate outside on the deck; under our large umbrella.

And some biscuits in the background, made by my dad with the usual finly crushed almonds in the dough, but this time he diced some apricots and raisins and combined them into the mix, to great success. Wholesome chocolate goodness. The cupcakes are so rich I cannot eat them, but I tried one of the layered biscuits.

Finally we found a client who would share our vision on these vintage industrial baking trays!! They were originally used to bake giant madelines in. But when hung as shown here, with one facing in and the flanking two facing out, they become recovered art.
Don't you just love it when you find something with the make ACME on it?
It's a beautifully patina'd, pressed steel cookie tray
We have been moving into a more industrial look here at Like That One. Here we have some commercial baking trays that can be re-purposed as a textural art piece when hung side-by-side on the wall. Come into the store and take a look!

We made Jäger schnitzel with Pasta & Sauerkraut for dinner today.
I used the Pork chops, pasta and Bavarian Sauerkraut we picked up from United Grocery Outlet. I made a Jäger sauce with: Mushrooms, Onions, Beef concentrate, Flour, Tomato paste and Heavy cream. I cooked the pasta in salt seasoned water and melted some butter over it. Heated the canned Sauerkraut on the stove top. I pounded the Pork chops, and then dredged them in flour, an egg wash and finally through French-fried onions. Baked them in the oven at 425 degrees for 20 mins. Served the Pork Schnitzel and pasta with the Jäger sauce over top of them; with the Sauerkraut on the side.

Made in Birmingham, this Silverwood 12 hole tart tray is the quintessential British product. Equally at home making mince pies. Image attribution to www.cooksandkitchens.co.uk
An attempt to reproduce the tasty pita pockets they sell at MQ Kantine. For the first try it was actually pretty good.
Some notes for next time...
- Use more mozzarella and less tomatoes
- Get proper & tasty tomatoes (not those cheap ones)
- Keep an eye on the oven time (they were baked just a little too much this time)
Since we still had the ingredients for another Stromboli and Pizza, that's what I made for our dinner. Used the 2nd Trader Joe's Garlic & Herb pizza dough for the Stromboli. And thawed one of three frozen pizza crusts we had in our freezer.

mix the feta cheese and basil in a small bowl, add some lemon juice
bash the chicken breast to make as flat as possible (i find this bloody hard to do, never go flat!)
cut a small pocket in the chicken and stuff with the cheese mix, 'stitch' back together with one or two cocktail sticks...dip in egg yolk then cover in crumbs
place in the oven on a bakingtray for 25 mins at 220c...enjoy!
