If you're like me, you LOVE sushi. These cookies gave me the challenge of simulating 3-D sushi shapes on 2-D cookies, and I had a blast making them. Each cookie is hand painted on top of royal icing. Tasty (non) fish!
If you don't wear your hear on your sleeve, then these hip tattoo cookies are a surefire way to get the message across to your sweetheart! Hand-painted glittering tattoo hearts are iced with almond royal icing and accented with red sparkling sugar.

Gorgeous bake shop! Best bread!
I highly recommend you to visit this bake shop in Ojai, and if you do visit, make sure to preorder your bread and pastries. Kate's bake shop is only open on Sundays, 12noon to 1pm. On my first trip there, I arrived at 12:05pm and everything was sold out. On my second visit, I preordered online, and then I knew why everything sells out right away. Amazing bread, amazing pastries! This might be one of the best bread and pastries I've ever had.
Olive bread, cinnamon twist bread, morning buns, and more ...quite amazing!
And the setting of this awesome bakeshop, breathless beauty.
Designed inspired from Whipped Bakeshop, I love navy and pink together! Top cake is a choc jaffa mud and bottom is orange flour-less cake.

Ivory fondant covers the tiers of this cherry blossom cake. An elegant pattern of blossoms bloom around the cake, reminiscent of delicate silk kimono fabric.
Gingerbread cookie ovals topped with almond royal icing hand-painted with a pearly sheen and then piped with pretty swirls and dots and finished with golden luster dust.
It's cake in a cup! That's right--chunks of delicious cake and icing in a handy recyclable cup for on-the-go snacking. We were originally going to create the "CakeSack" but this seemed like a better idea... for several reasons...
I created these Barack Obama logo cookies to help celebrate the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States.
Mini wedding shower cakes; vanilla buttermilk cake layered with raspberry jam and iced with pale pink poured fondant. Sugar roses and posies and buttercream leaves.
stacked coin quilt for my new baby boy. I started this and had the top finished wo days before he was born, but lost my basting pins so I couldn't get to the quilting right away! He is 10 weeks old now and I finished the binding last night at midnight lol. Made using the neptune collection by tulla pink for Moda, and thw stacked coins tutorial at the moda bakeshop blog.

Bread baked for the company was also traded for furs with the Mi'kmaq. The bake-oven is heated by a firebox underneath, which has a flue connecting it with the kitchen chimney. Clay from this location was used to accurately reproduce these bricks. The ceiling is lower than in the kitchen, to contain heat in the room where bread dough would rise in the troughs. Grain was grown where present dat Fort Anne is located. First ground by hand, the men would later grind the grain at a water-powered grist mill built in the spring of 1607 by Sieur de Poutrincourt.

From shooting a sunflower two days ago, to eating at a Sunflower Bake Shop yesterday. Went for a long ride with the guys to Perth and had lunch in this little bake shop overlooking the Tay river. A great little place.
Explored, if only for a short time.

This is for my daughter for her senior year of college.
Last Saturday, Cupcakes Take The Cake went down to Bay Ridge to sample

Small (6" and 4" tiers) fondant-covered cake with custom piped name plaque, sugar flowers and aqua band. Custom sugar butterfly brooch to match client's sample. Casey put this cake together, details, flowers, and butterfly by Zoƫ
When I kept admiring this quilt at Sew Sisters quilt shop - they kindly printed off the pattern from www.modabakeshop.com/2009/03/pinwheel-baby-quilt.html
It was the first stippling I had done, and decided to leave the pinwheels so they would 'puff' up.
Maryland "Crab Cake," my way! This cake was made for a wedding shower for a couple getting married on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Naturally, I had to make a mini edible tin of Old Bay, tiny crab mallets, and sugar dough crab bride and groom to help the couple celebrate their upcoming nuptials! The sweet crustaceans (even the old bay is my own secret recipe) sit on small sheets of edible newspaper announcing their upcoming wedding. Lemon cake with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam filling.

This dramatic buttercream-iced cake features handmade deep red roses, ivory leaves, and a chocolate brown bow on top, as well as bands at the base of each tier.
