Designed by Johnny Lott. A table ahead of its time.

Based on the wonderful design made by Ixpia for Akamai, In created my own take on the legendary master of wisdom. The body-frame was based off, but not taken directly from the original. Enjoy.

Tutorial for the original can be found here:

Built for the Civilian Mecha category in the 2014 MOCathalon. I'd normally add a description, but I'm really pressed for time right now. Basically, it's a mech that fights fires.

Looking at the "backside' of the Salk Institute in La Jolla by Louis Kahn. The shadows and the forms of the buildings on this side are even more clean, and pronounced than the inside area. Note the tall, fetished window that lightens what would be a block into a plane that folds over the end.

On the north side, the building appears blue-ish as it only has the light of the sky to wash back upon it.

Pattern: Duck Soup by annypurls

Yarn: Patons Cotton Chunky & Patons UK Moorland DK ( for toggles)

Needles: US 8- 5.0 mm

What a clever little design from annypurls! I'am so pleased with the results.

The built in hood and hood cord are such cute additions to the jacket as are the knitted button toggles. I followed the pattern for 12- months and it turned out perfect! I even used the provisional cast on, which I highly recommend, as seaming is not my most favourite thing to do.
