Backpacking trip though Molas and Andrews Lake.

After waking up at beautiful Lake Katherine, we packed up camp and headed over Windy Pass to camp our second night below Puerto Nambe.

Toddler backpack made using the Made By Rae pattern.

I added a full lining to the backpack, and a strip of dog ribbon since my son loves cars and dogs!

My new backpack. It was supposed to be a simple daypack but turned out quite a bit bigger than I had in mind.

It's a top loader with a zipper between the main compartment and the lid, around the front and sides. A zipper on top gives access to the separate lid compartment. The zippers are of the water-resistant variety, and while the top zip has good action, the main compartment zipper is a pain to operate.

The bungee cord web on the front is something I wanted to try and it seems to be a pretty nice feature, but all the attachment loops should be lower than they are here.

That's my new logo on the front of the lid there--a local orchid species picked out in embroidery floss.
