Bought a backpack this weekend for my trip to the Enchantments (if we get a permit in the lottery...). Its a Baltoro 70 by Gregory. 70 as in 70 liters of space. Hopefully that is enough. Hopefully I can carry that much weight in the mountains at a high altitude.

The tent and Seven Fingered Jack.

A traditional German brass band stayed recently at The Backpack, one of Cape Town's top hostels. One afternoon, they mixed it up with The Backpack's Drum master, Eddy - lederhosen and all!

We covered about 12.3 miles with our newest scouts backpacking on their first campout with the troop. New and old did a great job!
