Another one from the archives. I've always liked this shot, but never got around to posting it....until now.
Worst case scenario for a film shooter is extreme backlighting. But when you are 1100 miles from home, you try and make the best of it. The Fuji Provia 100 worked fairly well along with a slight burst of fill in flash. The flash brought out the colors of BNSF GE C44-9W 4818 at the historic Raton, NM train station. Built in 1903 in typical Spanish Mission Revival style that the Santa Fe railroad used extensively.
